Welcome to this mini meditation of finding peace and purpose in times of uncertainty.

Begin by getting into your preferred meditation posture.

Do what feels right to you in a position that is alert and comfortable.

Let's take these first few moments to connect with our breath.

On every in-breath maybe open up to the possibilities of peace and on every out-breath allow the tension to release from your body.

Now that we've settled in let's take inventory of what we are feeling during this time of uncertainty.

There is no right or wrong way to feel,

Just notice what's happening for you and remind yourself that your feelings are valid.

Knowing that these emotions are part of being human and show how deeply you care about the current situation.

Oftentimes intense feelings communicate to us that our actions and what is currently occurring are not in alignment with our values.

Allow these feelings to then lead into this next area of focus which are our core values.

Imagine your values at the top of your mind and ask yourself what is important to you and anchor yourself into these core values.

Let them steady you when the waves are knocking you down.

Your values are deep and unwavering.

They are fundamental to who you are at your core and they will continue to guide you as you navigate the path ahead.

With those values in your mind's eye let's set an intention.

It can be a commitment to improve yourself or the world around you.

Imagine that this intention is a gentle light radiating from within you.

Make this intention something that aligns with your values,

Something that inspires you to commit to action and helps you to live out this value in the real world.

And know that even when progress feels slow and setbacks feel heavy,

Remind yourself that change comes gradually and the many seeds of hope that you've planted will eventually compound into positive growth.

Now that we've taken the time to connect with our breath,

Anchor in our values,

Set our intention,

Let's expand the sense of peace that you've just created by choosing to live purposefully.

As we close out this meditation,

Breathe in a renewed sense of hope and on the exhale choose to let go of what you cannot control,

Knowing that you can always come to this space to feel grounded in your values and make the choices that bring peace and goodness to your life and the world around you.
