Welcome to this meditation on the sacred Sanskrit mantra Aum.

The meaning of Aum is vast,

Infinite and incomprehensible.

Aum has been described as the sound of the universe,

The sound of eternity,

The sound that contains everything and represents divine reality.

Repeating the sacred syllable can have many benefits from calming the mind and body to deepening our spiritual awareness.

In this session we'll repeat Aum silently in our minds or out loud if you prefer.

Chanting the sacred syllable in our minds or out loud has a powerful and transformative effect on our mind,

Body and soul.

This will give us a moment's pause and connect to the stillness within,

Connect to the universe and our true nature.

Let's move into our practice now.

Begin by getting into a comfortable position.

Allow your eyes to close and allow your whole body to soften.

Relax the muscles in your face,

Your jaw,

Your shoulders.

Feeling the support of the surface below you.

Take a deep inhale through your nose and slowly exhale out through your mouth.

We'll now begin repeating Aum silently in our minds or out loud if you prefer.

If you notice your mind drifting,

Gently bring yourself back to repeating the Aum.

We'll do this for a few minutes.

I'll mind the time.

We've come to the end of the session now.

Take a deep inhale through your nose and slowly exhale out through your mouth.

Whenever you feel ready,

Slowly bring yourself back to your surroundings and softly open your eyes.
