Holy light that shines within me.

On this sacred night,

I remember the promise you gave through the prophet Isaiah.

That even in moments that feel like darkness,

Your light is already rising.

You are the dawn that cannot be stopped.

You are the love that cannot be undone.

You are the peace that is born in us every time we choose you over fear.

Let this Christmas be a new birth within my own heart.

May the Christ light rise in me gently,

Like morning breaking softly over the horizon.

Where I have felt afraid,

Shine truth.

Where I have felt heavy or hopeless,

Shine renewal.

Where I have forgotten who I am,

Shine remembrance.

For unto us a child is born,

And unto me a new consciousness is given.

The holy presence,

The prince of peace,

Awakens within my mind.

May this inner light guide my thoughts,

Soften my words,

And bless my steps.

May it extend from me to everyone I meet,

So that my presence becomes a quiet blessing in this world.

God remove whatever blocks the Christ from entering,

The fear,

The judgment,

The resentment,

And fill their empty spaces with your peace.

Tonight,

Let the prophecy be fulfilled again,

That in every place where darkness once lived,

A great light now shines.

Let it shine in me.

Let it shine through me.

Let it shine upon all beings everywhere.

Amen.
