Good morning.

Welcome to this new day.

In this meditation,

We'll ease our way into the morning and start cultivating our energy for the day.

If you are still in bed,

Feel free to stay lying down.

If you are already up,

Find a comfortable seat.

Either way,

Lower your eyelids either halfway or all the way closed and begin to bring your focus to your breath.

Breathe in and out through your nose and as you take a deep inhale,

See if you can trace your breath through its full journey.

Notice where the air enters your nostrils and follow it as it makes its way down your throat and fills your lungs.

Notice how the breath brings movement to your chest,

Ribs,

And belly and makes space there.

And then on each exhale,

See if you notice a difference in temperature of the air leaving through your nostrils.

Now with each inhale,

Imagine that you are breathing in energy.

Just as before,

Keep following your breath.

Notice how with each breath,

You are feeling a little more awake as if the air you are breathing is bringing energy in through your nose then gently waking up your body as it creates expansion throughout your torso.

As you continue to breathe deeply and steadily,

Start imagining that you can send your breath and the energy it carries to every part of your body.

On your next inhale,

Bring your attention to your toes,

Waking them up.

Then direct your focus slowly down to your heels,

Then up to the ankles,

Calves,

Knees,

Thighs,

And up to the hips.

Breathe in to your lower back,

Mid-back,

And upper back.

Then along the front of you as well,

From your belly to your ribs to your chest.

Notice your shoulders.

Allow your breath to travel down your arms and notice the feeling of the air against your fingertips.

Breathe into your neck.

Is there anything there that you can release?

Come up to your jaw.

Keep the breath in your head and imagine sending it upward,

Reaching your cheeks,

Ears,

Eyes,

Brain,

And eventually imagine it shooting up through the crown of your head.

Take a deep inhale and hold for a moment,

Squeezing every part of your body as tightly as you can.

Then exhale and release,

Feeling the energy flowing through every part of your body.

In the next few moments,

You'll hear the sound of the singing bowl again.

With each sound,

Imagine the sound waves washing over you and moving every molecule within you.

Begin to bring more movement into your body,

Perhaps taking a full body stretch.

And when you are ready,

Blink your eyes back open.

Welcome to this day.

You are ready for whatever it brings.
