This guided meditation is for welcoming more energy and hope into your day. We open with grounding breaths and a body scan to come into the present moment and find more ease. From there, cultivate more energy and hope with a series of affirmations. Throughout the recording, there is a gentle melody in the background from a steel tongue drum.

Hello,

This guided meditation is for welcoming more energy and hope into your day.

Let us get started by settling into the present moment.

Come to a comfortable seat and allow your eyes to come to a close or a gentle gaze,

Whichever feels more comfortable.

We'll start with a few cleansing,

Grounding breaths.

Inhale to breathe in energy and exhale to release doubt.

Inhale to feel the breath energizing your whole body and exhale to let out whatever you no longer need to hold on to.

As you continue to take long breaths,

Take a few moments to really arrive.

With the next several breaths,

Take a body scan,

Allowing yourself to notice without judgment any tension you may still be holding and with a curiosity as to whether you can let go anymore.

In your next breath,

Turn your mind's eye to your feet.

What sensations are you feeling there?

Can your exhale carry away any tension?

Now shift your focus to your legs.

What are you finding there?

And what about your pelvis?

Your stomach?

Your chest?

Upper back?

What about your shoulders?

What about your face and head?

Can you relax your jaw,

Tongue,

Or eyes more?

Now take a moment to observe how you feel in general.

Is there anything new that you're noticing now that you didn't before?

There are no right or wrong answers.

Now we'll go through 10 affirmations for more energy and hope in this new day.

As we go through each one,

I encourage you to align them with the pace of your breath,

Allowing the inhale to draw in the affirmation and the exhale to release anything that might be in your way.

One.

This is a new beginning.

In this moment,

You do not need to be in the past or the future.

You can start from here and make this the day you want.

Two.

With each breath you take,

You notice the energy it brings you,

Filling you with oxygen.

You feel a little more refreshed and a little less tired with each inhale and exhale.

Three.

You can find the time to prioritize your own needs today,

Whether that comes in the form of taking short breaks or eating well.

Four.

You find joy in the little things.

There is humor in the everyday.

When you take the time to observe,

You'll notice it a bit more today.

Five.

You can approach challenges with courage.

Courage is a skill that can be cultivated.

You will find more of it today.

Six.

You will let love and strength,

Not fear,

Guide your actions.

We all contain multitudes.

There is love and strength and fear in all of us.

You can choose to let love and strength steer you.

Seven.

You see more of the good in the world this week.

You are still aware of all that is not,

But you don't let that stop you from seeing the good.

There is good and bad in this world.

One does not negate the other.

Eight.

You will know yourself a little better and be a little more yourself.

Nine.

You can cultivate your inner peace,

And with that inner peace,

You are able to share more peace with the world as well.

Ten.

You feel a sense of connection with the world.

You notice what you have in common.

In a few more moments,

You'll begin to come back to this space and this day.

Start to deepen your breaths and notice the subtle movements that brings to your body.

Perhaps wiggle your fingers and your toes,

And when you feel ready,

Start to blink your eyes back open.

As you come back,

Perhaps this day feels a little lighter and easier and more hopeful.

May this day be a new opportunity,

A new hope.

This is your day to make your own.
