I was pregnant those last few months.
Nothing fits.
And you're tired of spending money on things.
So you want to just try and make what you have work.
I had ordered these bra strap extenders from Amazon and they came in the mail in a package that had the company name on it.
And in the mailbox,
Along with that package,
Was a second package with that same company name on it.
And so I thought,
Well,
Maybe they sent me an extra one or something.
Turns out when I opened the package,
It's a piece of jewelry.
The charm and the charm was a basketball.
And on the back of that charm was the scripture for with God,
All things are possible.
Now I had ordered bra extenders,
Right?
The company that provided those provided some other items,
But none of those items were anything close to a piece of jewelry with a back of it.
With a basketball and a scripture reference on it.
I think God just sent me something and he used Amazon to do it because I was feeling uncertain about my future as a singer and struggling to find that balance between pursuing my own dreams,
But also being the mom that I want to be.
It was just a weird time,
You know?
And that charm was a very defining moment of with God,
All things are possible,
Like all things.
So he gave me a voice.
It's possible for me to continue sharing my voice and also to be a mom.
And the basketball was very significant because I had sung the national anthem for the Pelicans basketball game.
And it had come literally out of the blue.
I talk about the story behind that in a different episode.
Suffice it to say that was a miracle in and of itself.
So getting this charm in the mail was God saying,
Here you go.
Here's a tangible piece of jewelry to wear to remind you that with me,
All things are possible.
At the same time,
I was thinking,
You know,
This could just be a mix up.
Maybe there's some kid up the street whose mom is waiting for this basketball charm.
I didn't want to take something that was meant for something else.
Like,
Okay,
God,
I see this as a symbol,
But also I want to do the right thing.
So I contacted Amazon support and had a text conversation with the help desk.
And the best she could figure out was in the Amazon warehouse,
All the bins that have the items,
From the company I had ordered those broad extenders from,
Was stored right next to this other company that sells jewelry.
And somehow or another,
It was just a complete mistake that I got a package from this other company.
And she said,
Don't worry about sending it back.
You can donate it or keep it.
But basically,
There you go.
It was just,
It was just a mistake.
And so our song today,
