This guided meditation is a soft-spoken original poem that I wrote to remind others that pain, while heavy and difficult, is temporary. The nature of pain and the healing effect of time are highlighted in this meditation. Listeners are left with an empowering and uplifting feeling that pain is temporary and there is always a light at the end of every tunnel.

Minutes,

Hours,

And days.

If you ever feel that the pain is too much to take,

Live for the next couple minutes.

I promise you it's worth the stakes.

If you ever feel that the hurt becomes simply too much to bear,

Call out to me.

I've been there before,

And for you,

I'd always be there.

When the future looks too bleak,

And tears cloud and glaze your eyes,

Look up at night.

It's dark,

But there's always light to shine through night's dark skies.

When living forever becomes too much to ask for,

Tell yourself to live for the next hour.

You have no idea how many other people have gone through it once before.

Before you know it,

Those minutes you lived through will turn into hours,

That then turned into days.

You're pushing through it now.

I believe in you.

You're breaking out of your haze.

Before you know it,

Even in your darkest of times,

You'll look back on it someday and get to say,

Even though it was hard,

I'm proud of myself.

I lived through those minutes that turned into hours that turned into days.

Very helpful. I’ve been there too many times from the alcoholic abuse to verbal and emotional abuse from my family. But this practice helps me back up from my ledge. Thank you. Warmly, Anne
