Welcome to this guided meditation on returning to the inner truth.
My name is Joy Brown and I will be guiding you in today's meditation.
To begin,
Take a seat or lay down,
Get comfortable,
And then close your eyes.
To calm our body and mind,
Take a deep breath in,
Hold for 3 seconds at the top,
And then exhale out in a large sigh.
Continue this deep breathing for 1 minute.
Let your breathing return to normal now.
In your mind's eye,
Picture a small stream,
Hear the water flowing,
See the grass and plants nearby.
Follow this stream upward and simply enjoy this quiet,
Peaceful walk.
Up ahead is a cozy home.
This home is the heart of you.
Make your way inside this cozy home.
The cozy heart home is just how you like it.
It affirms everything about you that is true.
Pick up an item and ask it to tell you what it means.
It will give you a truth about yourself.
There are some items in this cozy home though that do not belong.
You will know when you see them,
If they speak a false truth to you,
Something you may believe about yourself,
But know isn't true.
Something like,
I'm not good enough.
Place it outside on the bonfire.
Collect as many of these false truths items as you want and put them on the bonfire.
It's time to light the bonfire.
You have matches in your hand and the wood is all ready to go.
Your items are all there,
Ready to burn.
When you are ready,
Light the match and light the bonfire.
As you watch the flames,
The old false beliefs you once let into your cozy heart home leave your heart.
Their energy is no longer connected to you.
Should they ever echo back to you,
You will know it is false and just simply an echo.
Give gratitude for all that has happened here.
Bring your awareness back to your body.
Slowly begin to move and open your eyes.
