This is Sarah with Becomes In Yoga.
In today's meditation,
We'll discover a message from our power animal.
When you're ready,
Take a comfortably seated position,
Resting your hands gently in your lap.
And when you're ready,
Closing your eyes or gently lowering your gaze.
Begin by taking a deep breath in through the nose and out through the mouth.
Begin to invite a sense of calm into the body by continuing to breathe in through the nose and out through the mouth.
Taking the exhales slightly longer than the inhales,
Relaxing the shoulders,
The jaw,
And the tongue.
A sense of ease comes about you.
And you begin to breathe naturally.
Visualize yourself standing in a wide open field.
The sun is shining brightly.
The sun's rays warm your skin.
There's a slight breeze.
You're standing there enjoying the day and how beautiful it is in nature and everything that surrounds you.
And as you're enjoying the day,
Along the tree line,
You see an animal begin to step up.
And it's an animal that you recognize,
One that you're familiar with,
Maybe one that you see frequently,
Or one that you identify with.
This animal slowly begins to walk out into the field towards you.
You sit down in the grass and allow the animal to approach you.
And the animal sits down next to you.
You begin to have a conversation with your animal,
Allowing your intuition to guide the conversation without trying to judge or force any communication with them.
Allow it to happen naturally.
Imagine the animal as a wise teacher.
It may communicate with words,
But it may also show you with action or feeling.
Showing the animal no fear,
Sitting with it and allowing it to impart you with the wisdom that you need to hear at this time.
After you have received the guidance you desire,
Be sure to thank the animal for visiting you today.
Perhaps offer them a gift and allow them to go on their way.
You watch them get up and walk slowly away from you through the field to the edge of the tree line and then slowly disappear.
You take just a moment to place your hand on your heart,
Offering gratitude for the wisdom you have received today.
Begin to deepen your inhales and to wiggle your fingers and toes.
And when you're ready,
You can gently open your eyes and move about your day.
