We're going to do a heart-centered meditation today,
So you're welcome to stay with your hands in your lap and focus on your heart space.
Other possibilities are putting your right hand over your heart,
Your left hand over your right,
Or making a lotus shape at your heart.
Whatever directs your attention the most easily for you,
That's the thing you'd want to do.
And we'll begin just by breathing.
So we'll breathe into that heart space.
Just let the inhale guide your awareness into that space.
And let the exhale,
As the air leaves your body,
Keep your mind right in the center of the chest.
So we'll just spend a few minutes doing that,
Just breathing in and out,
And guiding our attention into our heart space.
And now let's add a little mantra to that.
So as you breathe in and out of your heart space,
As you inhale,
Say to yourself,
May I be free.
And then exhale,
May I be free.
And we can repeat this mantra to keep our consciousness based in the heart.
And we can decide whether that helps,
Or if we'd rather just be quiet and sit in our heart space.
Well,
Let you decide that.
May I be free.
May I be free.
Imagine yourself receptive and open as you breathe in and out of the heart space.
Possibly adding,
May I be free.
Woo.
Take a nice,
Long,
Slow,
Deep breath.
And another.
Bring our hands over our hearts.
Great respect and love.
I honor my heart.
I honor teacher.
Bowing to your own heart.
