In this 10-minute talk, I reflect on the reading "Passionate Energy" from Alana Fairchild's 333 Oracle of the Heart Wisdom book. I invite the listener to think about Alana's idea of letting our love loose in the world. How can we share our gifts with others in these times while also connecting more deeply within? I share three practices to help us express our passionate energy in a world that is in dire need of love: connecting with the community, listening to our intuition for guidance, and creative expression. What other ways might you "let your love loose" into the world, as you receive that of others?

Hi there.

This talk is about expressing our truth and letting our love loose in the world.

Thank you for joining me.

The inspiration for this talk actually came from a book called 333,

Oracle of the Heart Wisdom,

A reading by Alana Fairchild.

And today I opened up the book randomly,

Or maybe not so randomly,

To a reading,

And it was number 281.

And the reading that emerged is called Passionate Energy.

And as I looked at the reading,

Something stood out to me that I feel called to share on this recording,

And so here it goes.

What really inspired me that came out of that today is,

In the words of Alana Fairchild,

Letting our love loose into the world.

For me,

That means expressing our truth,

Right?

Leading us towards a new world,

A new way of being,

A new way of connecting to others.

And so I think it's a really exciting time to think about letting our love loose,

Right?

And there's only one way that each one of us can do that,

And it's unique to us.

I mean,

There are many ways we can each do it,

But there's one expression of that that is uniquely us.

And as I go on my own journey of thinking about what that means for me and what it feels like to let my love loose out into the world,

I wanted to share that with you and to give you some reflections on a couple of things that came to me with regards to that and how to put this into action,

Okay?

So this is a message I feel called to share from my heart.

It's from my heart to yours,

And I'll read the passage from the book,

And then I'll share actually three reflections about how we can put this into action.

So passage 281,

Passionate Energy by Alana Fairchild.

When there is a passion in your heart,

You will naturally dedicate yourself with an intensity and discipline that may otherwise elude you.

Passion is love articulated.

It comes from within and empowers you to act in ways that you would not otherwise dare to consider.

It gives you strength and generates ability to accomplish things you might not dreamed possible.

Great things happen when wild dreamers let their love loose into the world.

However,

With great passion,

There can also be great pain.

Take time to nurture your heart through setbacks and challenges with knowing they are part of the journey.

If it seems like all is lost,

Then you are not at the final chapter.

Let your passion motivate you rather than burn you out.

Be committed,

Be balanced,

And be optimistic.

And I do like the balance of both the idea of letting our love loose and passion and also caring for ourselves when that kind of moment comes up that can be defeating,

Can be difficult,

For example.

So the first of the three reflections I'll share is about community.

I feel very deeply that community can give us strength in the times when we're feeling defeated,

Depleted,

Maybe not as energetically motivated about our purpose in the world or to express our truth.

So community really can be,

Whether it be virtual,

In-person,

With friends,

Neighbors,

School,

Whatever that looks like for you.

An IT community,

For example,

Here on Inside Timer,

Community can strengthen our ability to make the ideas and yearnings and gifts within us,

The things that can help us to be of service,

The things that we hold in our hearts and souls,

A reality.

I write about this in my work on spiritual activism and through a community that I've been part of called Alameda Mohed,

And I just feel like in the moment we're in,

Building communities,

Whatever that may look like,

Is the future,

Is the power that there is power in coming together.

Coming together is incredibly powerful and it also fills us,

Right?

It fills our cup.

And so we can also create opportunities for this,

Right?

We can build the communities that we long for,

That we seek,

And we can look around and see what communities are available to us that maybe we maybe haven't tapped into yet.

In times that feel like setbacks and we're really distressed,

I think this idea about building community gives us a lot of not just hope,

But it can help solidify an intention to act,

To do something in a moment that seems very distressing in our lives,

Whatever that may be,

Whenever that may be.

So with regards to living our love in the world and putting that out there,

I think community is a great tool.

The second thing I'd like to share has to do with listening to our intuition about what this looks like for us.

We're not often taught to listen to our intuition or listen to our truth,

Right?

So what are some ways that we can do that?

Again,

Various kinds of communities and tools like Insight Timer help us to connect through that inner wisdom through,

For example,

Meditation,

Nature walks.

It can be something very different for every person or even the way in which we express or act,

Enact this kind of practice can be different,

Right?

Meditation can look different being in solitude,

Stillness,

Quiet,

For example.

Contemplation and deep reflection,

As I've learned from Ines Hernandez Avila,

One of my teachers,

Is so important,

Right?

For having that time to reflect and allowing for our intuition,

Our truth,

Our inner wisdom to come forth.

So I highly encourage in thinking about letting our love loose out into the world,

Listening within for the messages that need to come out.

What is it that really,

Really activates our hearts?

What is love for us and how can we then express it?

And so the third thing I'd like to share is a way to express it.

Creative outlets,

Right?

How can we think about expressing this love,

This message we get through intuition,

Right?

There's so many ways we can do this.

Creative acts of art,

Of music,

Of singing,

Anything that comes from within,

Outside of us,

To the outside world is a creative expression of our inner truth,

Of the love that resides within us.

As Cheryl Strayed says,

The best thing we can do in this world is to give the gifts that we have that are what we already have.

It is not searching for some kind of perfectionism,

But within each one of us,

She says,

We already have everything that we need.

And the best thing we can do for ourselves in this world is to express that out.

As my soul coach says,

Gifts are not meant to be held onto.

Gifts are meant to give.

And so as I gather the courage on my own path to share my gifts,

I invite you along with me.

I invite you along in community,

Whether inside time or other communities,

To really take that risk,

Take that step to express in whatever way it may be to you,

Poem,

Writing,

Make up your own song.

I get in the zone when I sing.

For some reason,

Singing just soothes my soul,

But I also feel like I'm expressing a part of me through singing that I can't do in other ways.

Granted,

It doesn't always happen in front of people,

But it's my special way of feeling really connected to something within.

So whatever that looks like for you,

Right?

Think about what is your soul expression that you can get out of yourself that can not just benefit others,

But really can be beneficial to you too,

Because oftentimes that community care has to start within.

As Gloria Anzaldúa says,

We change ourselves,

We change the world.

So I invite you along with others in community and in your moments of solitude to think about these three things with regards to your passionate energy.

What can your passionate energy do for you in the world right now?

Again,

I'll reread this one sentence that I think is really,

Really helpful with this.

That is,

Great things happen when wild dreamers let their love loose in the world.

So give yourself grace as you do that.

Give yourself the allowance to take this step,

To give yourself space and time.

It really is,

I think,

A method of both self-care and community care.

Caring for those around us,

Whether you be a caregiver,

An instructor,

A worker,

A teacher.

Starting with ourselves,

Connecting within,

And then expressing that out.

That's where the beauty is.

That's where the energy is.

That's where the connection is.

And that's what we need in this world right now.

So this has been my reflection on the idea of letting your love loose out in this world.

Dream out the dreams that are inside of you.

Do it in community.

Do it with people.

There is no better time to do it.

Share those gifts that are already within you.

Take the risk.

Share them widely.

We need them,

And we need you.

Take care,

And thanks.
