Brenda Sendejo is a story weaver, soul coach, and author. For over 20 years, she has taught thousands of students in university and community settings. She teaches about spiritual activism and how owning our stories can lead to healing and empowerment. She is passionate about co-creating spaces of belonging, connection, and community by guiding others in sharing their stories and weaving them together to create collectives and communal bonds. Brenda utilizes her experience, intuition, various ways of knowing, and wisdom passed down to her by women elders to support others in expressing their unique gifts and truths into the world. Brenda teaches that we can listen within and embrace our inner wisdom by imagining, then living out, the stories of our creation on our paths home to ourselves. Guided by intuition and other forms of inner knowing, from this place of self-care and love, we have a heightened capacity to care for others and our communities. In the words of Gloria Anzaldúa, "I change myself, I change the world." Brenda does her work through soul-led coaching, workshops, and hosting regular community circles. She holds a PhD in cultural anthropology and has a book on spiritual activism forthcoming from the University of Arizona Press in fall 2026. Brenda loves nature walks and taking spirit-inspired photos, and lives in Austin, Texas, with her children, spouse, and spirit pup, Mojo.
