In this gratitude meditation, count your blessings. Praise God for each of them. Psalms 118:1 states, "Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever." So, allow yourself a moment to count your blessings, and give thanks for them.

Even on a bad day you can find something to be thankful for.

Take a breath.

As you exhale count that as the first thing to be thankful for.

Place your hand over your heart and feel the beat.

Count that as the second.

Stretch your hands above your head and feel the lengthening of your back.

Count that as your third.

Whisper,

Thank you.

Count that as the fourth.

Open your eyes wide and gaze around the space you are in.

Count that as the fifth.

As you continue your count listen to this reading of Psalms 118 and 1.

It reads,

Give thanks to the Lord for he is good.

His faithful love endures forever.

Again,

Give thanks to the Lord for he is good.

His faithful love endures forever.

One more time,

Give thanks to the Lord for he is good.

His faithful love endures forever.

Today as the minutes and hours pass,

Find more things to be thankful for.
