I am a channel and an intuitive, and I pull a card every day for the collective. Each month. I chose a different deck to work with, and this month, I have chosen The Yuletide Tarot by Kristopher Hughes. Each day a message is shared to assist the collective on their journey as physical beings on a spiritual path. Though this reading takes place in December, know that I intend you will find it when it is most pertinent to you. Namaste.

Welcome!

I'm Candy Foster,

And I am an intuitive and a channel,

And I pull a card for The Collective each day.

Each month I choose a different deck,

And this month I've chosen the Yuletide Tarot from Christopher Hughes.

If you have not followed me yet,

Be sure to do so,

As you will get notifications every day when the daily reading is released,

Along with any other meditations,

Reiki sessions,

Etc.

,

That I have put out.

Thank you for joining,

And I hope you enjoy.

Today's message is Mistletoe.

Relationship.

Attraction.

Values.

Taking the place of the lovers in traditional tarot,

Mistletoe captures the enigmatic power of plants in midwinter traditions.

The classical author Pliny and his description of ancient druids cutting mistletoe from the sacred oaks with a golden sickle has been seared into popular imagination.

It is a plant that has been regarded with equal fondness and disdain for countless generations.

Its green leaves are reminiscent of legs with rich white berries,

Filled with a serum-like substance,

All adding to its properties as a plant of fertility.

To this day,

Humans will gather beneath a bough of mistletoe to kiss and express affection.

A semi-parasitic plant that lives on a host tree,

It reaches its deepest green and bursts into berry during midwinter.

Mistletoe is often called All-Heal.

In Norse mythology,

Odin's son Baldur was prophesied to die,

So his mother Frigg sought the assurance of all animals and plants that would not harm him.

Alas,

She did not consult with mistletoe,

And the trickster god Loki made an arrow from it and brought about Baldur's death.

The divination meaning of this card.

It is tempting to associate this card directly with attraction of love between humans,

But this would be foolharded and limiting.

This card indicates the potential for love in a given situation and its expression,

But often this can be a card that implies what is required is self-love and the union of opposites within ourselves.

The mysterious hand reaching from above asks you to consider external forces that may well be impending or interfering with the harmony required to balance the situation.

There is attraction here,

But stop and question the intent of that attraction,

For all may not be as it seems.

In question of relationship,

This card can mean romantic love,

But take guidance from the cards around it as to the nature of its expression and the lesson it is attempting to impart.

I hope this message was helpful today.

Namaste.
