This is a brief pause just for you,
Wherever you may be.
You may be standing,
Sitting or laying down,
But just see if for just this moment you can be physically still and just really feel what physical stillness can feel like.
If it's safe to do so and it's comfortable,
You can close your eyes,
Just allow that sense of sight to be closed off for just a moment.
And as you are here physically still,
See if you can begin to notice your own natural breath as it enters and leaves your body.
Noticing the speed and the depth without any sense of judgment,
Just notice how your body is breathing.
Notice where you can feel the movement in your body and then gently at a pace that works for you,
Begin slowing down your breath.
Slow down the inhale just a little bit.
Slow down the exhale just a little bit.
As you breathe,
Ensure the in-breath is through your nose and allow the exhale through your nose or your mouth.
See which feels best for you.
With every inhale through the nose,
Allow the breath to go down a little further and deeper into your lungs and with every exhale that leaves your body,
Really control that exhale and lengthen just a little bit more.
So you're really slowing down the breath of each inhale and slowing and controlling the exhale.
Every exhale dropping and letting go of the shoulders and with every inhale really filling up the lungs.
And you can continue at that pace if you wish and if it's time for you to return,
Then you can remember you can return to this at any given moment.
Just becoming physically still,
Pausing,
Noticing the breath and slowing it down just a little bit.
