My name is Keri Sewell.
I'm a teacher here on Insight Timer,
And I am also a Reiki master.
You may be wondering,
What is Reiki?
The word Reiki itself breaks down into two parts,
R-E-I,
Rei,
And Ki,
K-I.
Rei connects us to the grand scale of the universe,
Meaning universal,
And Ki,
Or Chi,
Means life force energy.
So we connect to universal life force energy.
This is what Reiki is all about,
Tuning into this field of oneness,
This source that flows through all things,
Through our bodies,
Through our minds and our thoughts,
Through our hearts and our emotions,
Through plants and nature.
And in the spiritual plane.
When we work within the field of Reiki.
We touch our mind,
Our mental health,
We touch our emotional health and our physical health all in one.
It is all housed there because it is the primal ingredients to our existence,
To all of matter.
Reiki is accessible to everyone.
I practice what's known as Isui Reiki,
Founded by Dr.
Maikawa Isui,
Where we learn these Japanese techniques and we have an attunement to Reiki source itself.
But you don't have to learn a traditional pathway of Reiki.
You are Reiki itself and you can access it simply with intention.
Now,
Because your thoughts are energy,
You can direct your energy with the power of your thoughts,
With the power of your emotions.
And Reiki can be a tool,
An investigative tool,
To see what's going on in our body.
What is the root cause to some of our pain or our conditions?
Is there an emotional or mental attachment?
And what's needed to heal it?
So Reiki is a modality of healing accessible to all.
