The mind thinks it knows what this is. But it does not. When we remember the mystery of this, we purify the mind of what it thinks it already knows. So let's remember the mystery and purify the mind, together, for just a moment.

Well,

I don't know what I'm going to say here or what we're going to do.

So let's see what happens.

Can begin just by settling in.

Anything that might allow you to just be here a little bit more deeply.

And if it feels right,

You can allow your eyes to close.

Maybe taking a few deep breaths and continuing to make any adjustments in the body.

Maybe the shoulders drop a little bit.

The eyes soften.

Just letting the body do whatever it might like to do.

And seeing if you might release any attachment to anything that is not simply here.

And maybe open yourself to the mystery.

The mystery of existence.

This does not make sense.

It just is.

Feeling the mystery.

Just this.

Now if your eyes were closed,

You can just wait until whenever they might like to reopen.

Thank you for exploring here with me,

And maybe I'll see you again sometime.

I'll be here.

Guiding voice, flute, drum, water, and a reminder to feel the mystery of “just this.” This is one I’ll save and return to when my physical self needs help reconnecting to “the mystery.” As always Charles, your work is a divine gift. Thank you.

Fascinating…hearing the music again, after sampling it, it resonated so deeply this time! I loved it and the imaginary journey it took me on. Your gentle and unplanned/open guidance are, for me, the best gift. The mystery of existence, just this. I don’t need to know, I cannot know. And yet, curiosity about it all is what draws us together. Thank you for being such a consistent guide & always leading with curiosity.

Just this is profoundly easy to sit with. Why I feel a need to add to it or find deeper meaning is also profound. We say, "just" as an emphasis on the point, which is to allow ourselves to relax and release our tension, our "clenched hand", so to speak, and to allow... that's right, "just THIS!" I really enjoyed the drum and flute. I don't know if I imagine a rain stick in there or if it was just subtly present at times, not that it matters... the next time I listen will undoubtedly be "the FIRST time." Thank you for this track, Charles! Thank you for sharing these teachings along with your insights! Thank you for your mindful presence. Namasté!

Simple little check-in. Love the background music too. Can you please share the source?

Huh! This one was admittedly a touch different for me—a departure of sorts from the style of your ‘usual’ offerings. And that’s a fine thing, here. The manner in which the prominent, propulsive musical percussion and sounds were brought forward in the mix, and the way that it all was seemingly 3D-sound-imaged, served as an ideal focal point…as a persistent (and thus helpful) object of meditation. In sum, your production and pacing helped to drown out the monkey-mind chatter that appears noticeably ramped up at this particular time of the year—at least, in our country. And, at least in •my• comparatively energetic mind. So, thank you for mixing it up, CF, and for being relatively “adventurous” here. Your guidance is so regularly, richly rewarding, no matter the format.
