Welcome to this Centering Session.
Sitting or lying comfortably,
Inhale and exhale deeply.
Allow your awareness to arrive at a single point of tension on your head.
Maybe the top of the head,
Base of the skull,
Forehead,
Eyes,
Temples,
Behind the ears.
Choose any one point,
The point that's calling you the most.
Or if you feel your whole head crying out with tension,
Simply rest awareness on the top of your head.
Awareness on a single point on your head.
Allow the image of a tight rosebud to arise,
Emerging from that point.
Tight rosebud,
Emerging from the center of the tension.
Watch the rosebud rise slowly,
Then softly begin to open.
As it does so,
Feel tension begin to release from that point.
Rosebud opening,
Blooming,
More tension releasing.
Rose petals opening fully,
All tension released.
Allow awareness to expand slightly to the space around the bloom.
Awareness of the space around the rose.
Visualize a crop of rosebuds rising up in the whole area.
Whole area blooming with roses,
Tension releasing.
Now be aware of another area of tension on the head.
Holding awareness there,
Visualize a tight rosebud emerging.
Watch it slowly,
Softly begin to open,
Releasing tension.
Releasing tension into the air,
Like releasing fragrance.
Rosebud opening,
Blooming,
More tension releasing.
Rose petals opening fully,
All tension released.
Expand awareness slightly to the space around the bloom.
Awareness of the space around the rose.
Rosebuds are rising,
Blooming,
Releasing tension.
Whole area in full bloom,
Tension released.
And now,
Visualizing all areas of your head blooming,
Releasing tension.
Top of the head,
Base of the skull,
Forehead,
Eyes,
Temples,
Behind the ears,
Sinuses,
Jaw.
All points blooming,
Releasing.
Until your whole head is a beautiful crown of roses,
Free of tension.
Hold that sense of freedom for as long as you like.
If it feels liberating,
Go deeper into the sensation with eyes closed.
