**Note: Truth does not always sound pleasant. If the mind is not really peaceful now, it might not be a perfect moment to listen to this podcast, one has to be aware of the emotions or reactions that can block one from listenING ATTENTIVELY and with HUMILITY. This talk is a meditation practice. What one needs to do is listen attentively, without getting stuck in words, examine the mind in silence, not agree or disagree, just look at the mind as it is. Doing so is already part of true meditation.

The self,

The ego,

Is born out of this dependence.

When the mind depends,

There's attachment,

So there's detachment,

Attachment,

Detachment.

It's constant struggle.

Also out of this dependence,

There's egoism,

There's tribalism.

There's struggle,

All kinds of conflicts,

Issues,

Confusion.

To meditate is to inquire whether one can really live a life without any mental dependence.

And this self-inquiry demands attention,

Demands this seriousness to actually act now,

To effect change,

To apply what we have found out together to the life,

To experience in person what is a life like,

What is a life without any mental dependence like.

When one is doing so,

One will find out much more than what one hears from the speaker.

The words are limited,

Very limited.

The words are not a thing.

And please,

Independently,

Find out for yourself the beauty of living,

The beauty of truth,

The beauty of compassion.
