**Note: Truth does not always sound pleasant. If the mind is not really peaceful now, it might not be a perfect moment to listen to this podcast, one has to be aware of the emotions or reactions that can block one from listenING ATTENTIVELY and with HUMILITY. This talk is a meditation practice. What one needs to do is listen attentively, without getting stuck in words, examine the mind in silence, no agree or disagree, just look at the mind as it is. Doing so is already a meditation practice.

To live an actual life,

Me has no place.

And to go beyond this superficial,

Meaningless life,

Is to go beyond this egocentric life.

This conceptual life,

Where the mind,

The life,

Is trapped in thoughts,

Ideas,

Theories,

Concepts,

Ideals.

In such a world,

Everything is movable,

Because thoughts are never stable.

There's no base to reason,

Because the base is the actualities.

Without the base to reason,

All kinds of nonsense is created,

Is trained out by the egocentric mind,

Which is always fragmented,

Narrow,

Petty.

So to meditate is to see all this clearly in person.

To see it in your daily life,

To see how true it is.

And only when we are both living in the actualities,

We are connected.

We care about each other.

In that caring,

The mind is never isolated.

And this world wouldn't have been so divided and individual.

But when life is not in touch with the actualities,

We lose the foundations of living,

Which is also the meaning of life.

Without the foundation,

Everything is movable and shakeable.

And in the conflict between each ego,

Each me,

This movement of thoughts,

This instability is only enhanced.

The mind is inevitably vulnerable.

It's been shaken so strongly,

Because there's no foundation of living.

So to meditate is really to come back,

To transform a life back to this foundation.

A life needs foundation.

That's the actuality.

And to do this is to empty everything that has been accumulated in the mind,

From the culture,

From the tradition,

From other people's opinion,

To really put aside all those things and simply look and learn at this moment.

To perceive.

Without this foundation,

Which is tremendously important for everyone,

Life is ineffably trapped in thoughts.

Life becomes very,

Very complicated,

Very contradicted,

Very inconsistent.

Or simply speaking,

A life without foundation is full of hypocrisy.

And a life based on foundation,

This actuality,

Is a life very simple,

Very actual,

Very practical,

And very authentic.
