During the month of December of that year in 1995,
It snowed and snowed and snowed.
And it was beautiful.
And it was cold.
And it just didn't stop snowing.
But that didn't stop my Aunt Sissy,
Who would drive a very long way to be with her sister and to be with us as well.
Because it was around Christmas time,
My father had invited the choral group to come.
My mother was part of a choral group,
And they wanted to sing Christmas carols for my mother and for the family.
So they came at night,

Dark,
It's dark by six o'clock.
There were so many of them.
They went outside her window in the snow.
They just trudged around the whole side of the house.
And my father had this big spotlight because he's in the electrical business.
So they went around the side of the house where my mother's room was.
And with my father's spotlight,
They took their music and they were singing Christmas carols,
Which was really,
Really,
Really nice.
On the day that she died,
My brother Jimmy,
My Aunt Barbara,
Myself,
And my father were the only family members there.
And my mother was in the back room,
The bedroom.
We have a set of French doors in the little living room there,
And they have to be locked against the wind because they keep them closed.
As we were sitting there,
And it was on a Sunday,
Just before noon,
The French doors opened up and blew all the wind and the snow came in.
My brother said,
There she goes.
And the wind carried her away.
