Are you ready to meditate with Kari?

Make sure that you're laying down in your bed.

You're all comfortable.

You've brushed your teeth.

You went to the bathroom.

You're ready to relax and let go of your busy day.

Maybe today has not been a very good day.

Maybe today was actually not best at all.

Let's do this meditation together so that you feel better and you can fall to sleep,

Feeling happier and more peaceful inside.

In a faraway place,

A place that has a very quaint,

Quiet,

Countryside village where the houses are made of stone and rocks and everyone that lives there knows each other.

The fields have happy cows and sheep in them and all the gardens are full of flowers.

Everyone in this place seems to smile at each other.

Of course they have bad days.

But they're still kind.

They still say hello and they're still happy to be your friend no matter what.

It's a very special place.

Weather weather has different seasons.

It rains,

It snows,

It has sunshiny days and cloudy days.

But the village always looks beautiful.

No matter what light is shining from above.

This village has a very special postman.

He delivers parcels and letters to everyone's home.

All the dogs love him.

All the people love him.

He's a very jolly old guy called William.

And William knows everyone very very well.

Of course he knows who's writing to who,

Whose uncle sent you a present for your birthday,

Who got the most Christmas cards that year.

William is very close to everyone in the village.

But there's something magical about William that makes him even more special.

Not only does he have the biggest heart and the sweetest smile.

He also knows when someone's having a bad day.

It's a magical gift of his.

He's very in tune.

Very aware.

He's very empathic.

And this helps him to know when someone is having a bad day.

Can you imagine living in a village that's always got friendly people,

The gardens always have flowers,

The cows munching away on the grass in the fields.

And a postman named William that writes you a letter.

Imagine getting home from school and having a bad day.

It doesn't matter what made it a bad day.

But William knows it's a bad day.

There's a letter waiting for you on the kitchen table.

You go upstairs and get changed out of your school clothes.

You start to eat the snack that you got from the snack cupboard that you brought upstairs with you.

And you jump onto your bed and open the letter that William sent you.

Hello my little friend.

I sensed you're having a bad day today.

Don't worry.

By the end of this mail,

This shiny white letter,

You'll feel much,

Much better.

You carry on reading the letter that William has sent you.

Everyone has a bad day.

Sometimes it's very hard to shake off a bad mood.

Sometimes we just get stuck in the groove of feeling grumpy and tired and angry and sad.

It really doesn't have to be that bad.

Look at the sky kiddo.

It's blue and it's happy and it's shining just for you.

Look at the trees sweetie pie.

The green,

The full of birds and the swaying and singing just for you.

Look at your neighbors and your friends and your family.

They're smiling just for you.

You don't have to be stuck in the groove of being in a bad mood.

How about this?

How about you kick off your socks and your shoes?

You whittle your toes?

You scrunch up your nose?

You tickle your ears and you wipe away your tears?

Because nothing's ever that bad and you will be glad to know that tomorrow is a new day and that means you could do everything a different way.

Imagine that you're doing exactly what William says.

You're wiggling your toes and scrunching up your nose as if you're pressing a reset button.

This makes you smile and feel just a little bit better.

But you know you need to carry on reading William's letter.

When was the last time someone told you that you're awesome and fun?

When was the last time someone told you that you're just the best?

Don't be a mess.

Don't be upset.

Don't have regrets.

You're awesome and fun.

Just ask your mum.

If you need me to cheer you up some more you could always look through your window or go look through your door.

I'll be there with my mailbag,

My uniform and hat and I'll wave and I'll smile and I'll lift up my hat and I'll say out loud,

Don't be sad my little friend.

Don't be angry or upset or frustrated or in fear because William the mailman is right here.

I'll tell you a joke and I'll smile really big and the glare off my teeth will make you want to smile big.

You could go for a walk,

You could help me deliver mail because I'm sure somewhere in the village someone else is not feeling their best I bet.

But to no avail.

We will fix that together.

You can be just like me,

A happy smiling mailman.

It's as easy as one,

Two,

Three.

At the bottom of the page William had signed with a smiley face.

You look at the page,

The letter and read it through once again.

It does make you feel better.

You start to forget why you were so mad or sad or angry or upset.

You take another bite of your snack and you start to forget.

Tomorrow is a new day,

A new sun,

A new sky.

It's a new opportunity for you to be the best that you can be and just try to have fun in your day,

To not take things so serious,

To run and play and maybe laugh at something hilarious.

But know that you're awesome and cool and fun and smart and bright and no one,

No matter what they say,

Should take that away from you or cause sleepless nights.

Say to yourself,

I'm awesome,

I'm cool,

I'm brave and I'm the best and I'm not going to let myself be distressed.

I'm going to smile like William with my big shiny white teeth and make the world feel better and bring some relief.

Maybe I'll just snuggle down and sleep and dream of wonderful things like aeroplanes and swirly slides,

Lollipops and queens.

Maybe I'll dream of horses,

Bunny rabbits,

Candy floss and lots of love.

Maybe I'll just fall fast asleep.

Just let go,

Relax and feel and know that I am loved.

I'm loved a lot by so many people.

I'm lucky and grateful to be who I am.

I'm awesome and fabulous.

Just like William,

I can be happy all the time or I can try at least to not let things bother me.

Just learn to release.

So now I'll just sleep and relax and let go.

Just let go.

Let go.

Let go.

Let go.

The end.
