Welcome to today's practice.
As always,
This is a safe space.
It is for you and only you.
This short five-minute practice is for anyone that needs space and time to gather themselves in the morning before starting their day and interacting with others.
This practice helps set the tone for the day,
Focusing on creating security within self before sharing space with others.
This meditation is great for anyone that has roommates or lives with other adults and needs to center first thing in the morning.
Find a comfortable position either laying down if you are still in bed or sitting in whatever way serves you best.
Once you are comfortable,
I invite you to take a deep breath in and as you breathe in,
Think of the new infinite possibilities of a brand new day.
And as you exhale fully and gently,
Let go of any expectations for the day.
Take another deep breath in and as you inhale,
Feel the air expand into your lungs,
Chest and belly.
And as you exhale,
Release any tension you may be feeling perhaps in your neck,
Shoulders,
Arms or legs.
Inhale deeply one more time and exhale slowly and gently.
Keep breathing normally now.
Connect with your breath.
Feel it in your nose and in your throat as you inhale deeply and as you exhale,
Release what no longer serves you.
Feel the natural rise and fall of your chest as you breathe.
This is your safe space.
This is your center.
Become familiar with it.
Feel it.
Observe it.
This is where you are safe.
Here you are seen and you are heard.
Here you are validated.
Here you are valued.
Here you are loved.
Here you are enough.
As you go on with your day,
You can always come back to this space.
It is yours.
Keep practicing your breathing.
Focus on your breathing.
If your thoughts wander,
That is completely okay.
As soon as you become aware of your wandering thoughts,
Simply come back to your breath.
There are no judgments.
If you find yourself judging yourself,
Simply extend compassion and forgiveness to yourself.
This is a practice,
So keep practicing.
No matter what happens outside of you,
This is your safe place.
Come back to it over and over again if you need to.
It will always be here for you because it is you.
This is who you are.
You are your safe place.
You are your home.
You are the love and validation you seek.
When you forget,
Simply come back to yourself without judgment.
Now you are ready to go on with your day.
I am so proud of you for showing up for yourself today.
Have a beautiful and wonderful day.
