Good morning and welcome to the artist's morning.
My name is Darius and I am so grateful that you and I get this time together.
Let's begin our practice today.
If your eyes are open,
I'd like to invite you to gently close them now as we begin to go inwards together,
Going nice and slow in this slower,
Quieter place.
Can you begin to connect with your heart?
How is your heart this morning?
How is your heart?
Our minds often like to go very fast and there's a lot of value when our minds are connecting dots and coming up with ideas and our hearts often really like going slowly.
Today we're going to go nice and slow.
Today if you are open to it,
We're going to get some quality time with our hearts and just be here together.
Let's take a few slow,
Deep breaths here.
Breathing in,
Hold at the top of your breath and gently let it go,
Allowing a gentle softness to fall upon you now,
Softening your forehead,
Your eyes,
Your jaw,
Even your tongue,
Allowing the softness to melt away any tension around your neck,
Your shoulders,
Working its way down your back,
Your hips,
Your thighs,
Your knees,
All the way down,
Down,
Down,
Your shins and ankles,
Your feet and let's take a few deep breaths,
Specifically breathing into our hearts.
Breathing in,
Imagining your heart expanding and stretching in a really soothing way and out.
Once again,
Breathing into our hearts,
Imagining your heart expanding in every direction,
Gently taking up more space,
Feeling more and more comfortable and letting it go.
It can be helpful to imagine we are almost doing the most gentle,
Loving morning yoga for our hearts,
As if your heart woke up this morning and we're just letting it stretch physically,
Energetically,
Spiritually,
Just take up space,
Allowing flow and ease into your heart space and I'd like to share some simple affirmations,
Some words of encouragement from us to our hearts,
Dear heart,
Thank you for everything you do,
Dear heart,
Thank you for always being here for me,
Dear heart,
I think you know this,
But it's important and I say it as often as possible,
I believe in you,
I trust you,
I love you and I will always,
Always,
Always have your back and I will always,
Always have your back and taking a moment here,
If you are open to it,
To go deeper,
To get closer to your heart and to truly listen,
To listen and hear any insights,
Any wisdom,
Any feelings your heart might have,
This is our last song,
So I'm going to stay quiet and let you and your heart connect,
Bravo to your artist,
Bravo to your creator,
You made it to the end of the meditation,
Let's close our meditation today by taking one last deep breath together,
Breathing in and letting it go and maybe you have a little gratitude for your heart before we close today,
Finding something honest and something supportive to say and feel with your heart now,
It never ceases to surprise me how powerful our hearts are,
How creative,
How loving and generous and how wise,
Personally I believe our hearts are portals to God,
To the infinite and I don't think it's an accident that the key to unlock so many mysteries in our lives lives directly under our nose,
It's right there from the beginning to the end,
For those that are joining live at the artist morning,
I'm going to put 20 minutes on the clock and share a journaling prompt to continue our exploration today,
If you're catching us on a replay,
Perhaps on insight timer,
Of course you can do the same,
Get your journals,
Get your clock out and see what's here and ready to be expressed through you,
Thank you once again for meditating with me,
My name's Darius and I will see you next time.
