This is my morning mantra that I've added some thoughtful breathing to at the start. It's a reminder to choose a loving mindset to start the day with and for me it's also values I wish to see the day through with, be it at work, in my relationships, and most importantly with myself. Let me love with kindness, truth, and grace. Let me love wholeheartedly. Let me love with courage and gratitude. The photo is the sunrise over the Jamison Valley, Gundungurra Country, Blue Mountains

Welcome to the morning mantra.

My name is Tanya and I'm coming to you from the Darug and Kandunggara country in the Blue Mountain.

I'm just going to start with some thoughtful breathing.

Closing your eyes and taking in a full and deep breath through your nose.

As you're taking in these full and deep breaths just noticing on your inhale if the breath is cool or warm.

Noticing if there are any familiar scents.

Is the air dry or moist?

I'm just noticing the breath that expands across your chest.

Noticing your breath as it travels through your body.

Noticing if your breath comes all the way down past your ribcage.

You might like to add a slight pause between your inhale and your exhale.

Just enjoying these full and deep breaths.

Knowing that is of benefit to your body.

Breathing slows.

Your body starts to slow and find stillness.

Now you may like to extend your exhale.

Doing so only comfortably and pleasantly.

Just keeping with these lovely full and deep breaths in through your nose.

A slight pause and then your exhale.

Knowing that every breath is inviting wellness into your body.

Every exhale is releasing tension.

Just allowing and inviting that breath into your body.

Knowing that you are feeling your own aliveness.

Just appreciating how easily the breath comes into your body.

With your next inhale again noticing the breath as it passes over your nose.

Can you hear your breath on your inhale?

Can you feel your chest responding?

Using this inhale and exhale to connect the outer world to your inner world.

Now as we look forward to the day that is coming I encourage you to recite this morning mantra.

You can write it down later.

You can recite it now and speak it into being.

Let me love with kindness,

Truth and grace.

Let me love wholeheartedly.

Let me love with courage and gratitude.

Let me love with kindness,

Truth and grace.

Let me love wholeheartedly.

Let me love with courage and gratitude.

Let me love with kindness,

Truth and grace.

Let me love wholeheartedly.

Let me love with courage and gratitude.

May you carry this sentiment in your heart throughout the day.
