We begin this meditation by connecting to the breath and to a compassionate image. Then you will release yourself of expectations, give yourself acceptance, and forgive yourself. Then you'll do the same for a loved one... and for the whole universe. May you relax into the mystery of life! Love, Elizabeth

So begin by finding your comfortable seat as always and we start by observing the breath.

Observing the breath just as it is.

Gently closing your eyes and by not trying to change the breath we offer ourselves acceptance.

Every time we come back to the breath we practice letting go of expectations.

We connect to reality just as it is and bring to mind an image of compassion for you.

Bring to mind a place where you feel like you can be fully yourself or a religious figure or a person.

Somewhere where you feel like you can be just as you are.

Maybe you're in a beautiful place with only nature around you and there's no need to question or do anything.

You can just be and be soft and be supple.

Setting the intention may I be accepting of all my realities in this moment.

May I be accepting of all that is within me in this moment.

Wishing for yourself may I be happy and setting the intention I release myself of all expectations.

I know that I am so much more than any expectation.

I forgive myself for any expectations I had or for any grudge I've held against myself for not being a certain way.

I accept myself just as I am in this moment.

And now bring to mind a loved one.

Imagining a loved one and just take a moment to get a sense of this person.

To enjoy bringing this loved one to mind.

See their radiant smile and say to this person I release you from expectations.

I accept you just as you are.

Keeping your face relaxed.

Keeping the space between your eyebrows relaxed and your jaw and your cheeks and your throat and your whole body relaxed.

Say for this person I accept you with your ups and your downs and your doubts.

I want everything for you and I want nothing from you.

May you be happy and I accept anything you choose to give me with love and gratitude and I ask you for forgiveness for any expectations that I had.

I ask for your forgiveness.

And now just feel into your body sitting here in a whole complex world and a whole infinite universe.

You're sitting here surrounded by an infinite cosmos.

Just feel into that.

You're sitting here surrounded by infinite galaxies.

How can you have expectations of infinite galaxies and infinity surrounds you?

And saying for this mysterious universe I relax into the mystery of life.

I relax into the flow of life.

I choose to accept whatever the universe chooses to give me and I choose to view the world as a loving presence with love and gratitude.

I accept my reality as it comes to me and I am open to all the possibilities of this world.

I am open to all the possibilities of the infinity that surrounds me.

And now take a deep breath in and take a deep breath after the mouth knowing that this release is your greatest freedom.

Gently,

Slowly opening your eyes.
