This meditation is Root to Rise,
A meditation of deep stillness,
Deep safety,
And gentle becoming.
So,
When you're ready,
Find a comfortable position,
Seated or lying down.
Let your hands rest easily,
Place them on your body,
Or face up,
Taking in the energy from the universe.
Soften your jaw,
Relax your shoulders,
And allow your body to be fully supported.
If it feels good,
Gently close your eyes,
Or find a slight gaze.
Take a slow inhale through the nose,
And exhale through the mouth.
Again,
Take another inhale through the nose,
And exhale,
Letting go of the outside world.
Take another deep breath in,
Taking that breath in from the crown,
Just above your head.
Bring that breath down through your crown,
Your third eye.
Bring the breath down through the throat,
Pulling your shoulders back,
Opening your heart.
Bring that breath down into the belly,
And exhale through the root,
Into the core of Mother Earth.
Inhale from Mother Earth,
Two feet below your feet,
Bring that breath up into the root,
Through the central channel,
Lifting that heart.
Feel it through your third eye,
And exhale out the crown.
One more time,
Bring this breath from the top of your head,
Through your third eye,
Your throat,
Lift your heart,
Through into the belly,
Breathe into the root,
And exhale.
Bring the breath up from Mother Earth,
Through your legs,
Into the root,
Up through the central channel,
Lift your heart,
And exhale that breath right out through your crown.
Feel the beautiful connection between the heavens and the earth with this breath.
Now,
Allow your breath to naturally flow.
Just simply notice you are here.
In your mind's eye,
Imagine you are being held in the molten lava womb,
Up,
Not hot in a frightening way,
But warm,
Deep,
And ancient wisdom.
Feel the Mother Earth heartbeat as it pulses,
Holding you in this beautiful,
Warm,
Just let yourself feel the stillness,
Find the calm as it pours over you in a sacred pause.
In this warm,
Dark space,
There's no pressure to perform,
No pressure to figure it all out,
No pressure to be anything other than what you are right now.
Here,
The darkness is not the enemy,
It's the Mother's womb,
It's the place where you do your work,
Where you heal,
Where you restore,
Where you remember.
Let your nervous system receive that truth.
I am safe in the stillness.
I am held by the earth.
I trust this sacred space.
Now,
Bring your awareness to the base of your spine,
Your root center,
Your feet.
Imagine a deep red light glowing at the base of your spine.
Steady,
Calm.
With each inhale,
The red light grows brighter.
With each exhale,
It settles deeper.
Now,
Visualize roots extending from your body,
From your hips,
From your legs,
From your feet.
These roots move through soil,
Through stone,
Deep into the supportive layers of Mother Gaia.
You are supported.
I am safe.
Now,
In this womb-like stillness,
Allow yourself to rest.
Growth begins here.
Not in rushing,
Not in forcing,
But in the calm,
Peaceful depth of Mother Gaia.
Let your breath become slow,
Steady,
Like gentle waves.
And in the quiet,
Ask yourself,
Softly,
What is it that I am becoming?
What part of me is ready to awaken?
Now,
In your mind's eye,
See a tiny seed within the earth.
It's been resting.
It's been gathering energy.
It's been preparing.
And now it begins to awaken.
You might see the smallest sprout,
A soft green shoot,
Breaking through the darkness.
So gentle.
So quiet.
So certain.
No rushing.
No forcing.
Just becoming.
Feel that sprout as you,
A part of you rising toward the light.
Because it's time.
Now,
Imagine that sprout slowly grows from deep red roots.
It rises upward through your body,
Up through the legs,
Into the hips,
Through the belly,
Into the heart.
Not dramatic.
Steady.
Supported.
Feel your spine lengthen slightly.
As if Earth itself is helping you rise.
From stillness,
I rise.
From the womb of Gaia.
Now return your attention to the breath.
And feel the whole body grounded and present.
You don't have to force the next chapter.
You simply have to trust the becoming.
Take one final inhale.
I am safe to grow.
Begin to wiggle your fingers.
Feel the surface beneath you.
Deepen your breath.
As you fill your lungs.
Back into your body.
You feel ready to become.
Notice what surrounds you.
Take a spinal twist to the left.
Take the breath from the crown down through the central channel.
Exhale out through your root center into Mother Earth.
Bring up the breath from Mother Earth.
Take another spinal twist.
Back to the opposite side.
Taking the breath down from the crown.
Exhale into Mother Earth.
Inhale from Mother Earth.
Through the central channel,
Lifting your heart.
Feel the breath exhale through the third eye.
You are fully supported.
You are manifesting magnificence in yourself.
