You don't need to follow this one perfectly.
You don't need to stay awake.
Let these words wash over you as the body and mind begins to rest.
Allow yourself to lie down in a position that feels natural and let the surface beneath you fully support your weight.
Nothing needs to be held.
Just begin by noticing that you're no longer doing anything.
No decisions.
No effort.
No direction to move in.
Just being here is enough.
Can bring your attention to the top of your head.
Just notice sensations,
If there's a tension or a pressure activity here.
There's no need to change it.
Simply,
Allow it to be seen and then allow it to soften.
Imagine the scalp loosening.
As if the skin itself is relaxing.
Your brain relaxes.
The forehead smooths.
The space between the eyebrows softens.
There's no need to hold a single thought in place right now.
Let awareness drift to the eyes.
The muscles around the eyes release.
The eyes settle back a bit comfortably.
You relax behind the eyes.
The eyes can rest now.
Nothing to track.
There's no need to watch anything or scan anything.
Bring attention to the jaw.
Notice if there's any gripping,
Any subtle holding.
Allow the jaw to loosen.
The tongue to rest naturally.
You don't need to keep anything in or push anything out.
Just notice all the muscles in your face and allow them to soften.
Now,
Let awareness move to the back of the head and the neck.
The base of the skull relaxes.
The neck releases its effort.
The head becomes heavy,
Fully supported.
There's nothing to hold up anymore.
Allow attention to move into the shoulders.
Notice how much they've been carrying.
Not just physical weight,
But responsibility,
Pressure,
Expectation.
You don't need to name it.
Just release and let go.
The shoulders drop,
Relaxes.
They melt away from the ears.
Notice that weight doesn't need to be carried into the night.
It's okay to allow it to be released.
Let this release move down through the arms.
The upper arms soften.
Elbows loosen.
Forearms rest.
The hands relax completely.
Fingers release their grip on tasks,
On control,
On the day.
There's nothing left to hold.
Bring awareness to the chest.
Notice any tightness,
Heaviness,
Or emotion that is still present.
There's nothing to resolve.
There's nothing to understand right now.
Let the chest soften around whatever is there.
The heart can rest.
Nothing needs to be figured out right now.
Allow attention to sink into the upper back.
Muscles along the spine release.
The back widens.
All the effort of staying upright,
Attentive,
Responsive,
All of that can stop now.
The body knows how to lie down.
Bring awareness to the belly.
Notice if there's any holding here.
Any subtle tension.
Let the belly soften.
No need to prepare.
No need to brace.
This is where the body learns that it's safe.
Now,
Let awareness move into the lower back and hips.
These areas often carry long-held tension.
Without trying to change anything,
Allow gravity to do the work.
The hips feel heavy,
Supported.
The body is being held completely.
Let the tension move slowly down the legs.
Thighs soften.
Knees release.
Calf muscles loosen.
The legs don't need to support you anymore.
They can rest.
Bring awareness to the feet.
Ankles relax.
Soles soften.
Toes let go.
The entire lower body is at rest.
Now,
Sense the body as a whole.
From head to toe.
Still.
Heavy.
Supported.
There's nowhere else to go right now.
If thoughts arise.
Plans.
Worries.
Doubts.
Decisions.
Unfinished conversations.
There's no need to engage.
You can imagine them as sounds from another room.
Present.
But not important.
You don't need to follow them.
Notice how thinking naturally slows down.
When attention stays with sensation.
The head becomes quieter.
When the body is allowed to lead.
You're gently dropping out of the mind.
And into rest.
If there's a sense of pressure to fall asleep right now.
Let that go too.
Sleep doesn't respond to pressure.
It arrives naturally when effort ends.
Let go of worrying about tomorrow.
Whatever needs attention.
We'll be there when you wake.
For now.
The night holds everything.
If awareness fades.
Just let it fade.
If sleep comes.
Allow it to come.
There's nothing left to do.
Nothing to manage.
Nothing to achieve.
Nothing to plan.
You are allowed to rest.
You're allowed to let go.
You're allowed to sleep.
To release.
Thank you for joining us.
