This meditation is for the end of summer.

You might find that it's useful all year long to remind you of the messages that summer has to offer.

And you might find that it's also useful at the time of year when we are transitioning from for what many of us is the warm months,

Transitioning into some cooler weather,

Different types of days outside.

But it seems like summer has some messages for us to take with us into the next cycle that we go into,

The next part of the year.

So let's just settle in together and see what messages might be there for us to think about.

I'm going to offer some,

And you get to think of some yourself as well.

So go ahead and just fully arrive into this space,

Allowing yourself to feel your body held on the surface that it's on.

Maybe you're sitting,

Maybe you're standing,

Maybe you're lying down,

But anchoring yourself in the feeling held,

Anchoring yourself in the now with my voice,

Anchoring yourself here with everything the end of this season has to offer,

With the changing from perhaps leaves being on the trees to starting to change color and fall off the trees,

All of those things coming together to get us curious about season to season.

You can check in with your breath,

See if it feels comfortable to you right now,

See if there's anything that needs a little bit of tweaking,

A little bit of awareness,

Deepening or softening.

You are the one in your body,

And you are the one who is able to start to get curious and play with what might feel better or different.

So just let yourself exhale,

And let's start to imagine some of the sweeter parts of summer and this might be different depending on where you are in the world.

So if my images don't align for you,

Feel free to create your own.

See if you can see them in your mind's eye,

Almost on a film screen,

A movie screen in your head.

Allow yourself to see a whole big,

Vast field dotted with dancing fireflies,

Glowing and sparkling.

So many of them,

You can't even imagine how many there could be.

See what feelings come up for you in this moment as you take them in,

As you imagine what it would be like to really be in that field,

To be present there,

To see all of those twinkling lights before you.

And as you look up into the tall,

Tall trees,

The fireflies are there too.

And I wonder,

Is summer reminding you of magic?

Is summer reminding you of the magic that nature has to offer?

The pure wonder that the natural world around us has to offer.

I know some of us have memories of being children and catching fireflies,

Spending time with them,

Marveling at their tiny bodies that can glow.

And we can take that wonder,

That amusement with this really cool trick from nature.

We can bring that into our older years as well.

That doesn't need to stop.

Transitioning from the image of all the fireflies,

Imagine what it would be like to sit on a sandy shore,

Perhaps of an ocean,

A lake,

A river,

A moving and alive body of water with all sorts of treasures hidden beneath the surface.

Seeing the sun sparkle on the surface and hearing the sun tell us,

I'm not going away.

Yes,

The weather might not be quite as warm,

But I am always there.

Even when you can't see me,

I am there.

So know that you can feel my warmth.

Know that you can connect with that no matter what time of year it is.

Allow this message to go with you.

Bringing in that feeling of being on a shore.

Even getting curious about any of the related sensory experiences of that.

Your toes dipping into the water or feeling the warmth of sand beneath your feet.

Feeling a smooth stone in your palm,

Running your fingers across it.

Noticing how those rocks warm in that sun.

And then transitioning to another image.

Transitioning to a beautiful fire on a mild evening,

An evening that calls in feelings of coziness when perhaps it's not quite as warm during the summer.

Maybe cooking marshmallows or hot dogs or something else you really like over the fire.

Noticing in the clear sky a big full moon overhead.

And that full moon reminding you that this too,

This too you can carry along with you.

This too.

Allowing yourself to imagine seeing flames dancing,

Embers traveling upwards into the night air.

They might even remind you of those fireflies that you thought about earlier.

Perhaps those embers traveling upwards to the sky reminds you of how we are connected to something bigger.

Our energy,

Our light moves upward and outward.

Those embers keep us connected.

As you're seeing yourself sitting by this cozy fire,

See what messages summer has for you.

What does it want you to carry along with you as you transition from one season to the next?

Or perhaps when you find yourself in a completely different season,

Ready to move into something new or perhaps feeling stuck,

Feeling unsure or confused.

What messages might summer whisper to you now to remind you to say,

I'm here.

I'll be back.

Just settle into that place of knowing,

Allowing yourself to anchor a deep reminder in your body to come back to this place of knowing,

To come back to this place of connection even as you move through the seasons.

Taking a couple deep mindful breaths,

Showing gratitude for the seasons as they turn and showing gratitude for yourself as you deepen your play with intuition.

See you next time.
