And physical.
Thank you so much for listening.
Today's topic is Today's Choices Decide Your Tomorrows.
You are always making choices.
You choose alternatives every day of your life.
What choices you make is not as important as why you make the choices you do.
Making choices to please others at your own expense,
To be a martyr through self-denial,
Or to prove to yourself how lousy you are keeps you from being happy.
Making what makes you happy will also be the best decision for everyone.
Your choices will not reflect a desire to win love and affection from others by putting yourself down.
Also,
You will not make others resentful of what you do for them.
We all know people who do nice things for others and then never let them forget it.
If your actions have a sense of martyrdom,
Guilt will be the only response from those around you.
Since we quickly abandon those who try to make us feel guilty,
Self-sacrificing people are usually alone.
Making choices that keep you feeling lousy will only delay your escape from the vicious circle of unhappiness.
But if the choices you make reflect a positive attitude about yourself,
You are providing not only an opportunity for you to live a full,
Free life,
But for others also.
Perhaps you feel you have made many wrong choices,
That because of this you are a failure.
I don't know one honest person who claims to have made only good choices.
The point is that you can't do a thing about the past.
All you can do is learn from it.
If you can learn from your mistakes,
You will have accomplished something important.
Accept the wrong choices as part of you,
Gain from them,
And then get on to do better things.
No one is expected to be right all the time,
And if you accept yourself,
You will take the mistakes in stride and continue to do the best you can,
Because you know you are worth the effort.
