The tool that found me,
Which is the basis for the work that I'll be doing here with all of you.
In the 1970s,
A remarkable woman by the name of Joan Kellogg began observing something extraordinary working alongside luminaries like Helen Bonney,
Who was the founder of guided imagery and music.
And alongside other art therapists and creatives in Baltimore at the time,
Joan Kellogg spent years connecting and observing and classifying thousands of mandala drawings by clients.
And what she discovered became the MariCard test,
A therapeutic instrument that was rooted in the universal language of color and symbols.
And Joan's life work gave us a way to literally see what was happening inside of us.
And once you see it.
You can change it.
Now that's the gift of Mari.
And here is what makes it unlike anything else.
Mari provides an enjoyable non-threatening experience where you have full autonomy and access to your own intuitive guidance.
You are never told what your choices mean instead.
Through your own selection of color and symbols,
A visual map of your inner world.
Begins to emerge.
Your strengths,

I'm a Mari practitioner.
A guide for women in transition and someone who has found her way back to herself through some hard seasons of her own life.
And I know what it feels like to lose pieces of yourself quietly.

In the middle of doing everything that seems right.

Starting over.
And in the middle of it all,
I discovered that what I needed wasn't a plan.
It wasn't a program.
I needed just someone to sit with me and hold space.
Somebody who wouldn't try to fix me.
