When working on my life vision there is one question I always ask myself.
What am I truly willing to struggle for?
You see,
Nothing worthwhile comes without effort.
Some things may come to us with ease and flow but we always have to put in the work.
It's important to fall in love with the process and honor the struggles but it's not a competition of who has the hardest time.
We are rewarded for hard work since our early days in school.
Do you remember receiving gold stars?
And it's influencing us sometimes to make things look harder than they are just to receive more praise.
Are you doing that?
Have you ever made things look harder than they are?
Have you ever complained in order to receive more support and compassion from others?
Look,
Don't define yourself by your struggles.
No need to create unnecessary changes just to prove your worthiness.
Doing so creates an unnecessary need for hardships and a belief that if something comes too easily it is not worth it.
Choose to be positive,
The no problem person.
And if there is no struggle,
Enjoy the ride.
Don't create them for the sake of it.
So let me ask you this,
What are you truly willing to struggle for?
And while you're gonna honor the struggles,
How are you gonna remind yourself to not turn the struggles into your identity?
