Hello,
I'm Rhys Jones,
And welcome to this lucid dream incubation recording.
What follows is a lucid dreaming story,
Influenced by one of my own lucid dreams.
It can either be listened to for fun,
Or with the intent to sow seeds for a lucid dream later on in the night.
If you're listening just for fun,
Then you are,
Of course,
Free to put this on at any time during the day or night.
However,
If you decide to listen with the intent to incubate a lucid dream,
Then we recommend listening to it,
Either just before getting into bed,
Or whilst falling to sleep.
So,
I'll now give you a moment to decide how you want to proceed.
If you decide to put this on whilst you're falling to sleep,
Then use this time now to prepare for that.
Turn off your lights,
Draw your curtains,
Get into bed,
And do whatever else you need in order to feel fully settled.
And,
When my voice returns in a moment,
The lucid dream incubation will begin.
Almost there.
You you you you come to standing by a great machine a great churning multi-doored machine The doors aren't doors in the normal sense though In fact,
As you look closer,
It seems more appropriate to call them portals.
The size of the machine is mind-boggling to you,
And as you stand by its base,
Looking around,
You feel humbled by it.
Tiny and humbled.
Where am I?
You ask yourself,
Your lucid dreaming training kicking in.
Do I recognize this place?
Have I been here before?
Your mind ticks over,
Trying to piece together the puzzle of where you are and how you got here.
But you have no answers.
No logical answers,
At least.
No logical answers,
But one.
I must be dreaming.
Now,
Lucid,
You breathe in deeply and start walking around the base of the machine.
It is exquisite.
Like something out of a science fiction movie,
No better than that even.
As you walk around,
Slowly and methodically,
Taking in your surroundings,
You hear the machine turning and whirring and the vibrations from these processes rumble through you.
I wonder what you are,
You say out loud to the machine.
Running your eyes up to its top,
Then back down again.
Its edges sparkle brightly,
Ethereal and captivating.
And as you move further into the machine's depths,
Your eyes now turn to the portals themselves.
They are otherworldly.
So so so.
As you look at the portals,
You feel a tingle run down your spine.
Should I go through?
You wonder.
You feel conflicted.
On one hand,
You feel intrigued.
On the other,
Trepidatious.
But remember,
I'm just dreaming,
There's nothing to be scared of.
You remind yourself,
Shaking off the trepidation and walking closer to the portals.
You peer through.
The portal is spinning and whizzing and churning.
And one minute,
Its surface opaque.
The next minute,
Clear and penetrable.
During one particular moment whilst gazing through,
You glimpse what you think is another world.
A futuristic world.
A world you simply have to visit.
So you step through,
And a feeling of capit water washes over you,
As you do.
So so so You emerge into the new world,
And with a whoosh,
The portal behind you closes and disappears.
You look behind you and there's nothing left.
Then you look ahead and see nothing but a futuristic cityscape,
Stretching from one side of the horizon to the other.
Off in the distance is hustle and bustle,
People and cars.
But where you are is calm,
And quiet.
For a moment you feel yourself getting so pulled into the dream's narrative that you almost lose lucidity.
But just as you're about to,
You rein yourself back in.
This is all a dream.
Don't lose focus now.
And with that,
You kick off the ground,
Taking flight with aplomb.
Why?
You you you you and look around eagerly for the next thing to do.
I want to see myself,
You decide.
I want to know what I look like in this world.
I want to see myself,
You decide.
I want to see myself,
You decide.
You now find yourself in a futuristic shopping mall.
The people here look different.
Their eyes,
Their clothes.
Nothing about this is familiar to you.
Even the shops look strange.
Holographic people in the entrances.
Strange neon signs floating at every corner.
This is a fantasy land,
That's for sure.
And you feel awestruck that your mind is creating all of this on the fly.
I want to see myself,
You state plainly again.
I want to know what I look like.
And just as you reiterate your plans,
You see a strange sharp path in the distance.
The neon sign outside reads,
Mystic Mirrors.
And so,
You kick off once more and fly towards it.
Welcome to Mystic Mirrors,
Says the hologram at the entrance,
Ushering you in.
We're here to let you know exactly what you look like a century from now.
Enter here to meet your future self.
You chuckle,
Shrugging off the distraction of the hologram and entering the store.
No one's in there but you.
In fact,
There's literally nothing in there but mirrors.
On the walls,
On the ceiling,
Some even hovering mid-air.
Small,
Large,
Every shape you could possibly imagine.
And as you walk through,
You see yourself from every angle.
As you walk through,
You see yourself from every angle.
You you you Finally you reach the back of the store And find a door with a sign hanging from it titled final boss You reach out wrap your hand around the door knob twist and push Inside it's empty Empty and dark and Relatively normal looking compared to the strange environments prior to it You take a soft step forwards Then another And then one more in the center of the room on the floor You see a little hand mirror You reach out pick it up and gaze into it What looks back in the reflection is you but not you Your eyes are fully white no pupils and your skin is shimmering bright You look strange So this is what I look like in the future you ask out loud But your lips don't sync with the words Indeed this is what you look like a voice says from behind you you you And just like that you find yourself back where you started at the base of a great machine a great churning multi-dored machine Whoa quite the trip you think shaking yourself off and regrounding the scene a Part of you feels left behind in that futuristic world And so you walk back towards the portal Curious to know if you can return Or if an entirely different world awaits you now As you reach the edge of the portal you peer through Trying to catch a glimpse of what awaits you next you you you you If you listen to this lucid dreaming story just for fun,
I hope you enjoyed it and if you listened for induction purposes Then I hope this parting message now Finds you relaxed and drifting Your lucid dreaming seeds have been sown Your mind has been primed and you are ready for sleep And so with that I draw this session to a close Remember you are a lucid dreamer Happy dreaming You You You You You You You You You You You You You You You You You You You You You You You You You You You You You You You You You You You You You You You You You You You You You You You You You You You You You You You You You You You
