Hello,

I'm Rhys Jones,

And welcome to this Lucid Dream Incubation Recording.

What follows is a lucid dreaming story,

Influenced by one of my own lucid dreams.

It can either be listened to for fun,

Or with the intent to sow seeds,

For a lucid dream later on in the night.

If you're listening just for fun,

Then you are,

Of course,

Free to put this on at any time during the day.

However,

If you decide to listen with the intent to incubate a lucid dream,

Then we recommend listening to it,

Either just before getting into bed,

Or whilst falling to sleep.

So,

I'll now give you a moment to decide how you want to proceed.

If you decide to put this on whilst you're falling to sleep,

Then use this time now to prepare for that.

Turn off your lights,

Draw your curtains,

Get into bed,

And do whatever else you need in order to feel fully settled.

When my voice returns in a moment,

The lucid dream incubation will begin.

You awaken to a screen,

City loading.

It's static as a background,

With the corners glitching.

Immediately,

Your curiosity is piqued,

And you begin to question your environment.

What is happening?

The last thing you remember is getting into bed,

Closing your eyes.

This,

A screen,

A computer screen,

With a loading bar at the bottom.

You probe further.

Are you looking at the screen,

Or are you somehow the screen itself?

You feel no body.

You feel no separation from the vision and the awareness of the vision.

You have to be asleep.

You conclude.

It's the only answer that makes sense.

You're in the waiting room of dreaming.

Just as the screen suggests,

It seems as if a new environment is loading,

Waiting to be explored.

So,

You mentally prepare,

Calming yourself,

Bringing lucidity to the forefront of your consciousness.

A few minutes pass,

And the scene advances.

Now the screen is gone,

In its place,

A beautiful field,

Long grass and slender white flowers blowing softly in the wind,

And you are there,

In amongst them.

You have a body now,

And you're still lucid.

So lucid,

In fact,

That your memory of the waking world is clear and vivid.

The memory of your waking life,

The memory of the dreams that came before,

And the memory of exactly what you wanted to do in your next lucid dream.

You wanted to build something grand,

You say out loud,

And with that,

You look down and notice what you're wearing.

It's an interesting getup,

For sure.

Futuristic and techy,

With bold shoulder pads that glow neon blue,

And some sort of device connected to your right hand.

A device that will allow you to manifest anything at your will.

Glowing white sparks begin to emanate from your palm.

Lucid,

You know full well that the device connected to your hand is mere illusion.

You don't need it to manifest in the dreamscape,

What you need is your will for that.

However,

You recognize the usefulness of symbols,

Of helpful prompts that open up your creativity and grease the wheels,

As it were.

And so,

You don't resist the helping hand the dream has offered you.

Instead,

You lean into it,

Embracing it as a tool,

A dream tool.

You lift your hand,

As you do,

You start raising huge skyscrapers in the empty space ahead of you.

The divide between nature and city is where you stand,

A border of one world.

In front of you is a beautiful cityscape,

You've willed into existence with the help of your special dream device.

To your left and right,

Is nature as far as the eyes can see.

Blowing grass,

The slender flowers,

An exquisitely cobbled stone wall,

You like it here,

But equally what lays ahead of you seems intriguing too.

And so,

Penetrate the divide and enter the new world.

As you do,

The entire vibe of the dream morphs into something new.

You're on the outskirts of a city now,

Surrounded by your vision.

The city looks alive.

You have now ventured into the heart of the cityscape.

It reminds you of the videos you've watched in Waking Life of Tokyo.

Tall buildings,

Vivid neon signs as tall as the buildings themselves,

Wonderful smelling street food at every corner,

Sakura trees punctuating the streets edges,

Ornate shrines and temples in the distance.

Truly is a feast for the eyes,

And all the while,

Marvel at the simple fact that this is all you.

You're not actually in Tokyo,

You are,

In fact,

In your own mind,

Manifesting in your dream.

Every last thing you see on the fly.

Welcome,

Says a dream character,

Appearing forthrightly in front of you.

At first,

You're taken aback and terribly consider ignoring his advances as you so often do in lucid dreams.

You don't want to be distracted and lose lucidity after all.

However,

There's something about this dream character engages you.

Let me show you around,

He says in a friendly tone,

Taking you by the hand and leading you towards a building.

You decide not to resist his advances,

Curious to see what he has to show you.

The door swings wide open and you enter.

Inside the building,

You're led through many corridors,

Long and winding,

Until eventually,

You find yourself in a room full to the brim with equipment and devices.

Devices just like the one on the wall.

What is this place?

You ask,

Reminding yourself once more that this is a manifestation of your dreaming that you are,

Actually,

Talking to yourself.

It's where we make the dream stuff,

The dream character says.

The dream stuff?

You follow up?

Yes,

The dream stuff,

The stuff that your dreams are made of.

You find his wording,

Curious,

What could he mean?

You're not sure.

Nonetheless,

As he takes off again through another door,

You follow him,

Leads you ever deeper into the depths of the futuristic dream.

This is what I wanted to show you,

Says the dream character,

Gesturing towards a chair and a screen.

The chair is plain and wooden and the screen is just like the one you awaken to at the beginning of this particular dream sequence.

You approach to take a closer look.

City loading,

The screen reads in exactly the same way as the dream character did before.

Sit down,

Says the dream character,

So you do.

He places a VR headset on you and gets you prepared for another voyage.

You squirm and hesitate.

It's okay,

Trust me,

He says,

Placing a reassuring hand.

You feel settled.

The VR screen then bursts into life and the words city loading stretch across your entire vision.

You believe him though,

When he says,

That you can trust him.

And so,

You wait patiently,

Comes next.

Knowing full well,

Whatever it is,

Will be exactly what you need to see.

If you listened to this lucid dreaming story just for fun,

I hope you enjoyed it.

And if you listened for induction purposes,

Then I hope this parting message now finds you relaxed and drifting.

For lucid dreaming seeds have been sown,

Your mind has been and you are ready for sleep.

And so,

With that,

I draw this session to a close.

Remember,

You are a lucid dreamer.

Happy dreaming.
