This tale is excerpted from the book by L.M. Montgomery about a Canadian girl from Prince Edward Island. The author's beautiful imagery captures Emily's life at "New Moon Farm" after the passing of her father. She moves in with her relatives and enjoys the delights of nature on the farm. She also continues her deep connection with her father by writing an endearing journal diary. Music by Jonathan Slatter and Christopher Lloyd Clarke.

This story could easily be described as “sad”. However, it gives me a sense of awe and wonder. Such a precious tale. The part that seems the most “sad” to me is that children rarely connect with the the land ancestors anymore. The 🌳 🌲, the 💨, the wind woman. Or even their own bodies, feelings and the small miracles that happen all around us, all the time. I suppose that applies to most adults I know as well. Everyone is oh so connected to their screens and their fears. Though I share these thoughts through a screen right now. Nothing is “all” bad… thank you for sharing this. Yet another of your recordings fills my heart to overflowing. I so appreciate the miracles you bring to my life! Namaste 🙏🏻.

Love these bedtime stories by Glenda. I can listen to them many times without knowing the ending as I've fallen asleep. Her voice is very soothing and adds a magical quality to each story. Thank you Glenda!🙏

Dear Glenda, Your voice is gentle and emotive, perfect for this story. You bring comfort to me whenever I lay down to listen. Your voice is so soothing that I fell asleep each time and so I have listened to part one and two three times each! The soundscape is gorgeous. I’m inspired to share my soundtracks and recordings for audio books... Strangely enough I have never read Emily stories, though I grew up in Victoria, on the other side of Canada, where so much of the imagery and spirit of whimsy and magic is rife. Fairies in columbine, and Spirits in the wind; the sense of timelessness Emily’s story gives me, reminds me of the freedom I felt as a child to dream, and wander with curiosity and trust. My mother died recently. I am grateful to share in Emily’s grief. I look forward to listening to part three. Affectionally yours, Joanna 🧚🏻‍♀️ 💫💐

I didn't realize that this author was so suited for bedtime stories. My mom used to go to Prince Edward island every year to visit her home. A delight as always to hear you read. Thank you for sharing this.

I was keen to learn how Emily would cope once her father passed on. In pet 3 I imagine Emily living in the Disappointed House, which finally feels completely happy, refreshed & totally loved at last, to know the kind sweet soul living within it's walls, having been with time made bigger, to embrace the love & growing a family of 12. Pure delight. Many thanks Glenda. xo 🌻🐾🍃💕
