Hello,
My friend,
And welcome to Move Toward with Jenna,
Where we learn how to move toward all parts of ourselves with curiosity and compassion.
In today's meditation,
We will offer up a version of the prayer of St.
Francis to all parts of ourselves to our inner world.
So take a moment to settle into your body in the way that feels the most comfortable for you.
And if it feels right,
Gift yourself with a couple of deep,
Slow cleansing breaths.
And as you begin to draw attention to your inner world,
Invite all the different parts of you to come forward and gather around you in a comfortable way.
They may want to,
In your mind's eye,
Be seated or resting in a place where they can see you.
And then beginning to offer up this prayer,
O Divine Spirit,
Make me an instrument of your peace in my inner world.
Where there are parts that are weighed down with the burden of hatred,
May they experience my love.
Where there are parts that carry injury or harm,
May they experience harden and healing.
Where there are parts of me that carry doubt,
May they see in me faith.
Where parts of me may feel despair,
Allow me to offer them hope.
If parts of me feel lost in darkness,
May they see and experience my light.
Where there are parts of me that hold sadness,
May they connect to and experience my joy.
O Divine Spirit,
Grant that in my inner world,
I may be an agent of consolation,
Of understanding and of love.
For it is in giving that we receive and it is in pardoning that we are pardoned.
It is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
Amen.
May it be so.
