This meditation is designed to help you mentally reset and refocus as you move from one task or meeting to the next.
Thanks for taking a moment to sit with me as you mentally prepare for this transition time.
Think about how kind and generous it is to walk into whatever you're going into next with your full presence and kind attention.
Taking a moment to settle in,
You can gently close your eyes or just soften your gaze and give your eyes a rest.
Maybe they've been staring at a screen for a while.
Shift around in your seat and allow yourself to get a little bit more comfortable.
Feeling the weight of your body in your chair,
Notice your posture.
Drop your shoulders,
Relax your face,
And take a few comfortable breaths to let your mind and body arrive and settle into this moment.
It's remarkable to me how quickly we can go from doing to being when we take time out and give ourselves permission to relax.
In work and outside of work,
It can be helpful to take a pause between one thing and the next and ask ourselves,
Is there a state of presence that would benefit me or that would help me be more prepared?
Can you listen to that?
Is there an energy or an attitude or a mindset you'd like to bring to your next meeting or task?
What might that be?
Nice.
Give yourself some gratitude for taking time to be a human being and not just a human doing.
