And the raven spoke to me of peace.

Raven offers continual expansiveness to your thinking by soaring above the earth and seeing beyond and teaching you to do the same,

Connecting you with nature beyond time and space,

With the peace that is always possible to be found in the higher dimensions of your own self.

Peace through longing,

Longing another time,

Same place,

Another era,

Not better,

Just missed.

The peace then present,

The peace then knowing what was important,

Yet taken for granted.

Qualities now universally wanted,

Precious times,

More precious now in the peace-filled memories of longing.

In the world at this time,

Peace seems to be elusive to many or most of us as we listen to messages in the political world whose impacts affect us personally in our daily reality.

Whether at the supermarket,

The jobs we might lose,

Increasing costs of housing,

Or worry of the future at every turn,

How can one find any sense of peace when these things are in our daily headlines at this time?

We cannot just sit and long for a different era.

It will give us a break from the daily news,

Yes,

But it will not resolve the present and the effect the daily news is having on us.

And no,

We cannot bury our head in the sand either.

To do so will block the audible messages,

However,

It will not change the world reality.

At times like this,

We need to remember Raven's message to us about flying higher into the dimensions above all the current dim of the earth,

To higher dimensions within ourselves.

We do this by paying full attention to meditation practices of self-care that will allow us to go there,

Go to those peaceful places within us,

To remember that these healing spaces do exist within us,

And that absolutely no message from the White House or elsewhere can remove this from us.

Then return to reality,

Holding this inner strength to face what comes in each new day,

Knowing that peace is always present somewhere in the world,

And most importantly,

Within oneself.

And the Raven spoke to me.

Raven's many voices can bring arousal,

Strength,

Comfort,

And calm to the earth and soul.

Raven's voice can arouse,

Yet console,

And comfort.

It can defend and ward off.

Whether defending or calming,

Raven's strength is shown.

Have you ever been witness to the sound of Raven or its corvid cousin,

The crow,

Caring for its young high above you in its nest?

It coos to its young as though singing a lullaby.

At other times,

Raven or crow can be seen physically teaching a lesson to an immature adult who has assumed greater stature in its family than it has yet earned.

Raven,

In caring for its young for several months,

Uses all of its voices,

Just as humans,

Ultimately demonstrating well-honed parenting skills through its strength and ability to teach and console,

Reminding us to do the same.

We are all here,

Making our way.

Raven's call reminds us of this.

Whether we are human or non-human alike,

We are all here together at this time,

Making our way,

Raising our families,

Sharing the same environments,

The same seasons,

Each of us making our way through it all,

Each of us hoping for the best in each moment.

And the Raven spoke to me.

Raven,

Indistinguishable in flight as male or female,

Brings balance of the masculine and feminine energies within.

Universe,

For holding me in the palm of your hand.

It's good to remember this and to believe it.

The family is our foundation upon which we build all of our relationships,

Just as any building requires a strong foundation,

We rely upon ours to support us as we grow and go through life.

Or we recognize where ground faults are present within our foundation and endeavor to correct them so that our structure can survive.

Functional family members are like pillars strengthening our foundation.

They may not be visible,

Yet we know that they are there,

We may not always see eye to eye,

However,

Without which we feel like we are caught within a frightening elevator dream where the elevator sways in the wind outside of high rays and no top or bottom.

The functional family saves us from this nightmare and restores us within solid foundational values and connects us to the fundamental meaning of life.

Regardless of how far away or how close,

Your family remains your family.

You share the same space in a tightly formed ancestral chart whose list of names have long preceded you and will stretch on through eternity beyond you.

Your personal lineage of life,

Your proof of life,

And your place in family.

Your foundational structure upon which you rely.

Your strength in knowing that family are not only here for you,

They are indeed a part of you,

With DNA to prove it,

And you belong.
