Because we are such ritualistic,
Symbolic beings,
Creating a space,
An altar,
Where you can allow your creative juices to flow in the creation of that space,
And to place intentions,
Your thoughts,
What it is that you want to let go of,
Into a symbolic,
Ritualistic container.
It's such an important part of connecting to spirit,
Connecting to that soul energy inside of us.
There's no rulebook when it comes to creating an altar.
It can be as big as a room,
And it can be as small as a tiny part of a table.
And you can put whatever it is that is symbolic and meaningful to you.
So it can be herbs,
It can be petals,
Rose petals,
Flower petals,
Incense,
Candles,
Little pieces of nature,
Feathers or shells,
Little notes to yourself on what it is that you intend to release.
You can make it as simple,
Or as grand and magnificent as you want to make it.
Clear the space,
Use some kind of crystals or smudging techniques,
With local smudging herbs that you can find in your country,
To clear the energy of the space.
And when you feel a need or desire to ground in,
To come back to base,
To your queen baseline,
To tune into soul,
You have a space ready for you,
To dive deeper into you.
And that ignites through the elements,
Through that sacred space that you've created for yourself,
That symbolic space that you've created for yourself,
It brings you into that space even quicker.
Have fun with it,
Be playful with it,
Be loving with yourself with it,
And maintain it,
Clean it,
Change it.
Notice how it changes throughout the month,
Notice how it changes throughout the year,
Throughout the seasons,
Throughout your own internal seasons.
Have fun with it,
Allow it to reflect you,
Your essence,
Your being.
