Welcome to your,
Your breath is a wave meditation.
You can do this meditation anytime,
Anywhere.
What if like me,
You are seated or lying down,
Take this time to allow your eyes to flutter closed.
Breathe in and out through your nose.
Allow your energy to settle,
Your muscles to relax,
Your jaw to release.
In your mind's eye,
Picture a seashore on a calm day.
As you witness a wave coming in towards the shore,
You witness your own inhale.
That wave comes in,
Your belly fills,
Your lungs fill,
You notice that wave getting bigger and bigger until your breath crests at the top.
And as you exhale,
The wave recedes back out into the sea.
Soon you notice the next wave coming in and you again match your breath.
Your inhale matches the wave coming in towards shore,
Getting bigger and bigger until that wave crests at its maximum point where you pause your breath at the top.
And then you slowly exhale as that wave strongly and smoothly goes back out into the sea.
For the next three breaths,
Match your breath to the wave coming in and out of the shore.
Get lost in the motion,
In the sensation of your wave.
See it,
Feel it.
See it.
See it.
Continuing to ride the wave of your breath,
Become aware of all parts of this visualization,
All parts of this experience at the seashore with your wave,
Your breath connected.
The mist in the air,
The brightness of the sun,
The temperature of the air,
The sound of the waves crashing in.
Continue to ride your wave,
Deepen your breath.
You are connected to the sea,
To all creatures,
To all things,
And to yourself.
Your wave of breath is always there for you.
When the world gets crazy,
When things just feel like they've gotten to be too much or you feel lost,
Confused,
Sad,
Come back to your wave,
Your connection,
Your tranquility.
And we'll close today's Your Breath is a Wave meditation with a reading.
They say that before a river enters the sea,
It trembles with fear.
Look back at every journey you have taken,
At the peaks,
The mountains,
The long winding path you have trod through forests and villages,
And you see before you an ocean so vast that entering it is nothing more than disappearing forever.
But there is no other way.
The river cannot go back.
Nobody can go back.
Back is impossible in existence.
The river needs to take the risk and enter the ocean.
Only when you enter the ocean will fear disappear because only then will the river know it is not about to disappear into the ocean,
But become an ocean.
Back to our.
