So what is chair yoga?
Chair yoga is,
As you probably guessed,
Yoga that you can do in a chair.
I love chair yoga because I think it's a practice that makes a lot of poses that may be inaccessible for some accessible by using the chair.
The chair is just as much a prop as a bolster or a block or a strap or a wall,
But the chair is a great.

The chair is a great prop because it's very sturdy,
But you can use it in different ways.
You can get up,
You can move around it,
You can stand behind a chair,
You can sit on the chair,
You can even lay on the ground,
Put your legs on the chair.
There's a lot of ways that you can work with the chair.
But when it comes to chair yoga,
What you're going to be doing is using this chair as a way to make poses work for your body by utilizing the chair.
For example,
Let's say you wanted to do a warrior two.
If you wanted to make that possible in the chair,
You could still create a very similar alignment.
But you're going to use the chair.
So you can remain seated.
You can have this strong bend to the front knee and working on bringing your leg out.
And take your arms out.
Seated warrior two.
There's a lot of different options too.
I love to work on overall mobility in a chair,
Maybe doing some neck rolls,
Some wrist rolls.
I like to do some marches with the legs.
You can even do seated core.
You can do anything that you would do on a mat in a chair,
And it is a great accessible practice for everyone.
