Quest For The Golden Heart

Hello,

This is Cariad Empowered Within.

And allow yourself to get comfortable and relaxed.

To help you relax,

I have a little secret.

Anytime we feel stressed,

Overwhelmed,

Our body automatically takes in a deep breath and lets it out with a sigh.

So let's try that now.

Take in a nice,

Deep breath and then hold it for a second and ah.

And another.

Deep into your belly.

A sweet sigh of relief.

And feel how your body begins to soften.

And all the tension,

All the worries fade away when you exhale.

Good.

And now pretend that you're in your bedroom.

The moon is full outside.

And it's a warm summer's evening.

Pretend you have a big window with a nice window sill.

You have your window open so the fresh air can come in.

You can hear the crickets singing to you.

And maybe there's frogs too.

And you're snug and cozy in your bed.

And then you hear a little pitter patter,

Pitter patter on the window sill.

And you look up and over and there is Puss in Boots with those big,

Beautiful eyes.

He smiles at you and says hello.

And of course you smile back and say Puss,

So good to see you.

And so Puss hops down,

Straightens out his long black cape,

Takes off his black hat.

And then he hops up on the bed next to you.

And he says,

Would you like to go on a quest with me tonight?

And now your eyes get big.

A quest you say.

Oh yes.

And so Puss says,

Will come with me.

And so you crawl out of bed.

You put on your shoes.

And he says,

Stand next to me for a moment.

This will be a flash.

And so he takes your hand with his gentle paw.

And then with his cape,

Whoosh.

Off you go to a magical land in Mexico.

And you look around,

Left and right.

You look at the ground.

It is so beautiful here.

You breathe in deep and smell the tropical scent of nature.

And you look at the giant leaves that hang.

The exotic plants and flowers.

And Puss looks up at you and says,

I need your help.

I am on a quest to find the golden heart.

You see that big temple over there?

And you do.

It is large and made of old carved stones.

You nod your head and go,

Oh yes,

I see it.

And Puss says to you,

It is in there.

I am too small to get it and not strong enough.

And there is a lemur in there who frightens me,

Who fills my heart with fear.

So I need you to help me.

Are you brave enough?

Are you courageous enough?

And you think for a moment,

Just for a second.

And then you affirm,

Oh yes I am.

I believe I can do it.

I have you with me here.

And so Puss smiles at you and says,

Well let's go my friend.

And off you go,

Running through the jungle,

Past the exotic ferns,

The bright red tropical flowers.

You pass the lovely red eyed tree frog on the left.

And then you see the secret passageway into the temple.

So you sneak on in.

Ever so quietly.

And this valley here is rather old and ancient.

There is magic in this place.

You make a left,

A slight right.

And then this space opens to a chamber.

And there on this big stone is a very small but bright golden heart.

And perched on the edge of that big stone is a nasty looking lemur.

Puss seems a little nervous.

He looks up at you to make sure you are brave.

So you stick out your chest and stand tall and walk toward the big stone in the lemur.

You look him in the eyes.

The lemur looks at you and says,

I dare you.

You are not brave enough.

You are not strong enough.

Who are you?

You look at him with such truth,

Conviction and faith.

For you have it within you to do this.

And you look at the lemur and say,

There is magic within me.

And I can do this.

And I will show you now.

And so you just reach over and pick it up.

And the golden heart is in the palm of your hands.

And you look down now and you see it.

And it begins to glimmer and sparkle and shine.

And as soon as you look up over to the lemur,

He is gone.

He was merely an illusion,

A figmentation of your fearful imagination.

And now it is simply a thing of the past.

The lemur jams up onto the great big stone and gazes down at your palm and smiles at you with such love and admiration.

You did it,

My friend.

You are courageous.

You are amazing.

I am so proud of you.

You are good,

Dear friend.

I honor you.

And you see how Pous puts his two paws together and bows his head at you.

And you smile.

And your heart opens up and receives his gratitude towards you.

And so you take the golden heart and place it in your pocket.

And Pous says,

Well,

Let's go back to your home.

Snuggle and celebrate.

And so you do.

You find your way easily out of the chamber.

Back outside,

Past the red-eyed tree frog.

The ferns and the beautiful red flowers.

Back to where you began.

And you look at Pous.

And he places out his paw.

And you take his paw in your hand and whoosh goes his black cape.

And there you are,

Back in your bedroom.

So you take off your shoes.

And you watch Pous take off his cape,

His big black hat and leather boots.

You climb into bed.

And then Pous jumps up and snuggles close to you.

You begin to stroke his soft orange fur.

And he begins to purr just for you.

And you realize you have that golden heart still in your pocket.

And so you pull it out.

And Pous has a flash of realization.

He says to you,

Do you love me?

Do you want me?

And you look at Pous a little confused and you say,

Of course I love you.

And of course I want you in my life.

The world is a better place with you in it.

And so Pous smiles at you and snuggles in even more closely.

And says,

I no longer need the golden heart anymore.

For I have you.

You are my golden heart.

You are all I need.

You are good.

And you are kind.

You are honest.

And you are trustworthy.

You are a good person.

And you realize Pous is true.

You do have a golden heart.

And the world is a better place with you in it.

And so you both appreciate one another.

In this moment,

As Pous purrs his love song to you.

And so the two of you just drift off into a peaceful sleep.

A deep,

Wonderful sleep.

Now and when you awaken,

Pous will still be there.

And so you sleep.

A wonderful day.

Sleep.

In it is so.
