Welcome,

And thanks for meditating with me today.

The purpose of today's session is to open yourself up.

You open up to yourself by becoming aware of who you really are,

By opening your heart to life,

And by opening yourself to the unknown and the adventure.

I invite you to get comfortable in your body and close your eyes.

Try to stay as still as possible.

Make sure that you are in a stable and centered position,

With a straight back.

Get comfortable right where you are,

Here and now.

Stay awake and fully present.

Notice how the air gently flows in and flows out of your nostrils.

Your belly expands and contracts as you breathe in and as you breathe out.

Relax your whole body as it becomes heavier and heavier.

Relax each muscle of your face.

Your jaws are relaxed,

Your lips delicately placed one on the other.

You are calm and blissful.

Keep noticing your breath,

And with each exhalation,

You relax even more.

When you're ready,

Imagine yourself alone on a road,

A small road that crosses an immense wild landscape,

The sky is lightly overcast,

The temperature is just right,

And a few rays of light make their way through the clouds.

You are surrounded by mountains.

There are rocky mountain peaks in front of you and all around you.

Fir trees are covering the deep green valleys.

You're standing up on this road and look far ahead.

The road crosses the mountains,

But you don't know where it leads.

You don't know what lies behind those mountains.

Maybe a new mountain to climb,

Or maybe a sunny flowery valley.

Is it a village?

Is it empty or you will meet a lot of people?

You have no idea,

It's the unknown,

It's what you don't know.

We are all afraid at times of the unknown,

Fearing the unpredictable,

The fear of making a mistake,

But when we take away the fear of the unknown,

What is left?

The space of all possibilities,

Then the unknown is no longer emptiness,

It becomes freedom and adventure.

Accept the challenge,

Move forward without looking back,

With confidence.

To open up to life,

Sometimes we need to forget about plans and be open to opportunities.

Forget about expectations,

Forget about the future,

Because there are no goals or objectives to achieve.

The unknown sometimes means risk,

Danger and maybe even sacrifice.

But facing it and accepting the challenge is the only way to become who you really are And remember,

When nothing is a certitude,

Everything is possible.

To open up to life,

You have to learn to open up to yourself first,

To see yourself as you are,

To fully feel your emotions,

How do you feel right now,

What emotions are present?

While you are still on this road,

I would like you to become aware,

Here and now,

Of all the qualities you have.

Remember the things you have accomplished in your life,

All obstacles and difficulties that you have encountered that made you stronger,

And as you are approaching the mountain in front of you,

As you are approaching the unknown,

Open yourself to the great person you are,

Despite your mistakes or moments of weakness.

Then feel the strength,

The courage,

The joy and maybe the excitement of this moment.

Then feel the openness growing inside you.

Visualize your heart opening,

Visualize a seed inside of it,

Slowly blossom as you breathe.

With each inhalation,

The seed receives more energy,

And with each exhalation this luminous energy spreads to every part of your body,

In your belly,

In your hips,

Your legs,

All the way down to your feet,

With each inhalation you feed the seed in your chest,

And on the exhale you spread this glowing light of love to your shoulders,

Your arms,

To your hands,

Then into your throat,

Every part of your face,

And then your entire head.

The more you breathe in,

The more the seed grows and ripens until it becomes the most beautiful flower ever seen,

A glowing white lotus flower.

As you feel your heartbeat within your lotus flower,

I want you to visualize in front of you someone you love,

Feel all the love you have for that person,

Feel it in your body,

Look straight into your loved eyes,

Be aware of her,

His wounds,

The sorrows or the difficulties she he may have encountered in their life,

Then compassion starts growing inside you,

Connect to her,

His presence,

And while maintaining eye contact,

Wish her,

Him that you might be loved,

That you might find happiness,

That you might open up to life,

And that your dreams might become true.

As we're coming to an end of our meditation today,

I want you to draw a smile in your heart,

And then draw a smile in the hearts of those you love,

As if your hearts were smiling to each other,

Like our hearts are smiling at life,

At this new opportunity.

Be grateful to yourself,

Be grateful for life,

And smile.

When you're ready,

You can slowly come out of the meditation,

And return to your breath,

Become aware of your surroundings,

And slowly open your eyes.

Thanks for practicing with me today.
