Couples: Connect With Your Partner For Love And Intimacy

This is a couples' meditation so you should share this practice. Spend these 15 minutes intentionally cultivating connection, grounding together before tuning into your hearts and each other. Background music: Equilibrium by Sanchii.

Hello and welcome to this couples meditation with me Keziah Gibbons.

This meditation is designed for you to practice with a partner so please make sure that you're both present and ready to meditate together.

So start out by becoming comfortable.

I would recommend that you're facing each other for this practice but you can also find other ways to be connected and just give yourselves a moment to settle into this moment,

To settle into this practice and to settle into the intention of being with each other right now.

And then setting up physically so creating a physical base so that you're both supported and you might find that within that base you want to be touching in some way so you might wish for your feet,

Legs or hips to be touching.

Just settling so you're both supported and that you're touching where you want to be touching so that you have a feeling of being close together and well grounded together.

And then taking your awareness down to those parts of you that are touching the surface you're resting on and taking your breath there too so breathing in down to those places where you're resting on whatever surface you're resting on.

Breathing out imagining that breath going down into the ground and perhaps even growing roots.

Breathing in down to the ground,

Breathing out sending little roots or maybe even big roots deep into the earth,

Solid and grounded.

Breathing in down to your base wherever you're resting on that surface,

Breathing out down into your roots and just noticing where your roots might meet or even twine with those of your partner.

And just sitting for a moment in appreciation of this state of your groundedness,

Of your supportedness and of your connectedness each in your own space and yet in this space together.

And from this place of grounding bringing your awareness now to your torso,

Your heart space and also that space between you,

Between each other's heart space.

And then just bringing your breath to this awareness so breathing in to your heart space,

Breathing out radiating through your heart space so allowing your breath to carry what's in your heart outwards.

Breathing in to your heart space and breathing out sending your heart energy towards your partner.

Breathing in knowing that they're sending their heart energy to you,

Allowing yourself to receive.

Breathing out sending your heart energy towards your partner and just continuing this flow for a few moments more.

Breathing in and out each through your heart,

Each sending and receiving your heart energy to one another.

Allowing this connection to build and allowing yourself to be fully present in one another's heart energy.

And now if you're not already doing this allowing yourselves to gaze into each other's eyes so making eye contact allowing that gaze open and frank.

And if you're not sighted or if you're not an eye contact couple then I'm sure you've already discovered ways that you can connect with this openness,

With this kind of deep intimacy so just bringing that in now.

With the intention that you recognize each other and that you allow yourself to be perceived by your partner and that you perceive your partner completely.

Just sitting in this connection,

This intimacy for a few moments and then reaching for each other's hands if they're not already touching.

And again if you don't have hands or if physical touch is not easy for either one of you then just use whatever way that you typically like to connect.

With the intention that you are reaching for each other,

That you're here experiencing this moment together in connection,

In intimacy.

That you are two souls who reach one for another.

And then coming back to your breathing and allowing your breathing to naturally sync up.

So breathing in together,

Breathing out together,

Allowing it to be comfortable,

To be relaxed and also intentional,

Another way to connect.

So breathing in together,

Breathing out together,

Aware of your own breath and your partner's breath at the same time.

And as your breathing naturally syncs up and as you share this space and time together your heartbeat and your brainwaves will also be naturally syncing up whether you're aware of it or not.

So just being aware of the wonder of two beings synchronizing one with another,

Being here together,

Intentional together,

Connected together,

Intimate together,

Perceiving each other,

Reaching for each other,

Honoring each other,

Loving each other.

And allow yourselves to sit for as long as you want in this space together.

The guidance will finish now but you're still together.

And allow yourselves to have this time for as long as suits you both.
