Welcome to our prayer for peace.
Start by finding a comfortable seated position.
Make sure that your body feels supported and comfortable.
Take some time to notice the sounds around you.
And we will begin by taking three deep breaths together.
Exhale.
Let it go.
One more time,
Inhale.
And exhale.
Now bring your awareness to your heart space,
Visualizing peace in your heart.
It can take any form that you wish,
Maybe a beautiful color,
A light,
A sensation,
Or even a symbol like a flower or a rainbow.
And with every breath,
Visualize that this piece inside of your heart is growing brighter and stronger.
Now you may want to imagine that this inner peace that is growing brighter inside of you is now becoming bigger and bigger.
So for a few breaths,
I invite you to visualize or imagine that this inner peace inside of you is becoming bigger.
It can fill your whole body,
Becoming bigger and bigger gradually until it might become big enough to circle the whole planet.
Take a few breaths,
Connecting to your heart,
To your feeling of peace inside,
Imagining that it is as big as you want.
And now I will read a prayer.
You might want to repeat it silently or out loud,
Or just receive it.
May peace rise in us,
Touching every cell,
Every thought,
Every breath.
May our inner peace ripple outward like circles on a still lake,
Reaching those we know and those we don't,
Crossing borders and crossing oceans,
Touching all beings everywhere.
May conflict give way to understanding,
May fear give way to trust,
May separation give way to connection.
Let there be peace in me,
Let there be peace in you,
Let there be peace in all.
And so we breathe together,
Anchored in this shared intention to be the peace the world longs for.
And so it is.
Now take a moment to imagine that all the peace that you shared with the world is now coming back to you.
Take some time to connect with your breath,
To feel your feet,
Your body,
Maybe starting to make some circles with the head,
Feeling the space around you.
And when you're ready,
Open your eyes gently.
Thank you for taking this time to send some peace out in the world and mostly to cultivate it in words.
Thank you.
Your actions matter.
