On this special day to acknowledge our loved ones in Spirit, we honor those that have passed and ask them to be with us. My dear friend, Pierre Bensusan, has permitted me to use his track called ‘Sentimentales Pyromaniaques’ from the album 'Altiplanos'.

Let's begin our day with a little bit of happy talk and meditation in this short yet impactful podcast designed to infuse a little bit of positivity into each moment of every day.

Let's get in the flow.

Today we get to honor those that are no longer on this earthly plane.

These few days are just extraordinary.

So right now it is said that the veil between the earthly plane and the eternal is very very thin.

And it's said that because this veil is thin that it's easier for spirits of those that have passed,

Our loved ones,

It's easier for them to walk amongst us.

Doesn't that sound incredible?

Oh my gosh,

Right?

So it's really interesting,

These couple of days right now,

It's all really really fascinating because I grew up Catholic,

Right?

So today is considered All Saints Day.

So this is the day when we look at all the saints in the Catholic Church and we honor them,

Right?

So tomorrow is All Souls Day.

So that is when we honor and think about all those deceased loved ones that we have that we have and that have passed,

Right?

So but this is where it gets really cool,

Okay?

So today and tomorrow are also called Dia de los Muertos,

Which is the Day of the Dead,

Right?

So it's a holiday that originated in Mexico,

Okay?

And it's when we honor and welcome those that have passed before us,

Right?

And Dia de los Muertos is actually really cool because what we do is we put the pictures out with candles and maybe put their favorite food there to sort of entice them to come and walk amongst us because the veil is thin.

Oh,

It is so extraordinary how this all works.

It's like so extraordinary,

Right?

So I just love all the synchronicity of it all,

Right?

And I know that there's Catholicism in Mexico,

Obviously,

But it's just interesting how all of the sort of holidays kind of make sense,

Right?

All because the veil is thin,

Okay?

And what that means is when the veil is thin,

That is when it's easier for spirits to come and walk amongst us,

Right?

So,

Okay?

Now,

The coolest thing about all of this,

Well,

I shouldn't say the coolest,

It's just another really cool aspect to this is Halloween.

How does Halloween come into play with all this,

Right?

Okay,

So centuries ago,

They were celebrating because the veil is thin and they want their deceased loved ones to walk amongst us,

Right?

They wanted to figure out a way to ward off any evil spirits that are going to come because obviously saints and our loved ones aren't going to be the evil ones.

So they had to ward off the evil spirits,

Right?

So dress up as something scary to ward off the evil spirits.

Oh my gosh,

Is that not cool?

And that's kind of how it all started with dressing up and blah,

Blah,

Blah for Halloween.

But the coolest part about this is because the veil is thin.

So you know what we're going to do today.

It's going to be fun.

We are going to meditate on all of this and it's going to be a special meditation.

So let's get ourselves comfortable because I want us to sit in the stillness a little bit longer maybe than we normally do.

So let's close our eyes,

Get comfortable.

Let's take a nice deep breath in very gently and release.

Extraordinary.

Beautiful.

Today we honor those who have gone before us.

All of our loved ones in spirit.

We thank them for being in our lives and for the lessons that we learned from them,

Whether we realize it or not.

So what I want you to do right now is think about someone that you love that is in spirit.

Who would that be for you?

Think about all the traits of this person.

Are they tall?

Short?

Blonde hair?

Dark hair?

Think about their laugh and their eyes and smile.

Think about all their traits and who they were when they were here on earth.

And as we think about them,

We thank them for being part of our lives and everything we've learned from them.

They are so special to us.

And today as the veil is thin,

We invite them to walk amongst us.

We know that they are all around us.

And today we feel their love.

Their spirit is alive with us and in our hearts.

So now as we sit in the stillness for just those few minutes,

Let's remember them and ask them to come and sit beside us in this beautiful,

Peaceful,

Loving energy.

I will keep the time and let's begin.

Drilled civilization.

Unusable and not you you Let's take a beautiful deep gentle breath in and release beautiful We thank our loved ones in spirit so much for being in our lives and for the love We thank you spirit.

Thank you.

Namaste
