Sleep is one of the most critical functions of the human body.
Rest and reset,
Digest and repair.
That is why it is imperative we make time for every stage of sleep.
Non-REM,
REM,
And the deep conscious state known as savatna.
This is the dream or connected state of our higher conscious mind.
It connects you with a more elevated frequency where you access information to help move you from fear to love on earth.
We are going to go on a journey this evening to that dream and waking state where the all that is meets the you.
The you who is bodily connected to our main source of mind,
The brain.
We will lay in savatna or a subpoena position for this practice,
Which means face up on a bed or a mattress,
Where you are able to connect to the body and its inhabited state of mind.
Arms at the side or just resting together on your chest or sternum.
Anywhere you feel comfortable is good.
You can also be on your side if a pillow is used between the legs or in a fetal position if that is more comfortable.
The important step here is to be as relaxed as you can.
This is a ritual for bedtime.
It involves only you,
Your mind,
And your conscious awareness of your body.
It will begin with a bodily scan,
Followed by a regulated breathing pattern,
And end with a ladder into a layer of consciousness where reality is accessible,
The one where everyone and everything is connected here and beyond.
We invite you to relax,
Listen,
And release,
And when you find a peaceful calm to use that time on your own.
You will hear music at the end to do so.
Once you have tried this meditation,
You are welcome to begin at the next bell anytime you return to do this.
Remember,
We all have access to our higher consciousness when we make time to be.
Put away distractions,
Turn off devices,
And choose to come to our way of being,
Mindfully aware of love.
We're going to begin with a simple breathing pattern.
Inhale and exhale,
One to one.
One breath in,
One breath out.
Set aside in your mind anything that is distracting you.
One breath in,
One breath out.
Refocus your mind back to this moment.
Imagine any time a noise is heard,
You think of someone else,
You want to pick up your phone,
Or you're just not feeling called to do this right now.
Return back to one,
One to one.
One breath in,
One breath out.
One breath in,
One breath out.
One breath in,
One breath out.
Bedtime is a place for comfort,
To reset your body,
To reset your mind.
We're going to take this time every night to do just that.
Let's start by scanning the body from top to bottom,
Beginning at the top of your head,
Where the crown chakra connects you to all that is.
One breath in,
One breath out.
Coming down as we soften the face,
Relaxing the nervous system,
Centering ourself in peace and serenity.
One breath in,
One breath out.
Coming down to our neck,
One breath in,
One breath out.
Relaxing into your shoulders,
Feeling the tension melt away,
The stress resolved,
The actions of the day put away like a chest of drawers.
You softly close it.
One breath in,
One breath out.
Down into our chest,
Connecting to our heart,
Feeling the love all around us,
Guided and supported,
Never alone,
Always available,
The emotions and feelings of complete,
Unconditional love.
One breath in,
One breath out.
And down to our stomach as we begin the digestion process,
Putting away any thoughts or beliefs about what we consumed,
Just relaxing into the knowing that our body is taking care of this process of digestion.
One breath in,
One breath out.
Down to our hips,
Carrying the day,
Releasing anyone we're carrying,
Knowing that we are supported and guided on our journey forward.
When we place the mind in now,
We remind ourselves of all that our body can do to get us through each moment,
Each and every day,
What we carry through.
But we want to release that.
We want to come to a place of peace and surrender,
That what we carried is no longer needed.
And one breath in,
Coming down into our knees,
Walking us forward through this life,
Keeping us upright,
Keeping us moving.
They bear the brunt of the ego mind.
We ask for stillness,
But then run through the day and the knees will remind us to sit down,
Relax,
Take a break.
One breath in,
One breath out.
Feeling into our feet as we imagine a ladder,
The ladder of consciousness,
Taking us up to a higher frequency,
Into a place where peace exists immediately,
Where nothing is held back,
All things are available and everything you need is right within your own mind.
One breath in,
One breath out.
As you begin to climb that conscious ladder,
Imagine that everything that you believed is falling behind,
All the untruths,
All the illusions.
Everything is available,
Everything we need,
All desires exist within.
One breath in,
One breath out.
Waiting for you at the top of this ladder is a beautiful cloud with a nice soft pillow and you begin to settle into it and a deep state of peace comes over you,
But everything is as it should be.
You have everything you need,
Everything you want,
Everything available.
One breath in,
One breath out.
And you realize this cloud is just floating.
The material,
The physical world begins to fall away as we realize we are supported,
We are guided,
We are loved because we exist.
And whatever we do down here back on earth is part of raising our consciousness,
Part of becoming who we truly are.
One breath in,
One breath out.
And it's in our dream states where we can access the next day's joy,
The lessons to be learned,
The people we'll meet.
One breath in,
One breath out.
Dreams are a place to download information,
To give us a glimpse of our path forward,
To help us understand what we still need to move out,
What fears,
Doubts,
Or insecurities still exist.
And when we take that ladder of higher consciousness into that dream state,
All we have to do is let go and allow.
The guidance is waiting for us.
One breath in,
One breath out.
Imagine you have brought with you a little plug.
When you plug that in,
It downloads everything you need to know right here,
Right now about who you are,
Why you came here,
And what your focus should be this week or this next day.
Like a little thumb drive.
Imagine it's being handed to you as you feel it in your hand,
Closing your hand around it,
Keeping it safe.
One breath in,
One breath out.
As you begin to drift off into the state of being that allows you access to your inner consciousness,
The place where joy,
Freedom,
Happiness,
And love coexist within the mind of all that is.
One breath in,
One breath out.
