While the holidays are a beautiful time full of laughter and wonderful discussions with close and loved people,
It can also be a time of sadness.
And it can unfortunately also be a time that makes people feel inadequate.
People can feel alone during this time.
And while at times it can feel like a big fog,
Eventually a fog will always lift and a beautiful sunny day will emerge.
So for those who are struggling,
I want you to know you are loved.
You are perfect and enough just as you are right now.
Your spiritual leader is with you.
That amazing,
Never-ending divine love is here.
So feelings of sadness are okay.
You should never feel bad about what you're feeling.
But know that it will get better.
You can give yourself these few minutes to reflect on what is good.
To reflect on perhaps what you can do to feel better.
To help lift that fog.
So I invite you to take a comfortable seat and place both hands over your heart.
Do you have to think every day about all of the beautiful work that your heart does to keep you moving?
No,
You don't.
So in a similar way,
Why question the love that is truly there for you from your spiritual leader?
Just like your heart,
It's there.
It's pumping.
It keeps you going.
Please take a deep breath in.
Let it out.
Think about one thing that makes you smile.
A place.
A loved one.
Keep that smile on your face and take another deep breath in.
Let it out.
What can you do to go inward?
Perhaps,
Who do you have to say no to?
Do you feel that amazing presence surrounding you?
Of love?
Of compassion?
Of community?
Because it is there.
Please know you are loved.
If you are separated from ones that you love and care about,
Just because you cannot be with those people at this time,
The love doesn't go away.
You are special.
Please repeat after me.
I know I am loved.
And today I will focus on feeling good.
I know I am loved.
I am loved.
Just like that fog.
It will lift.
Eventually you'll start to see little speckles of light come in.
You know it will come in.
The fog won't last for forever.
So take this strong knowing that you are loved and enough today and focus on just trying to lift a tiny bit of that fog.
You don't need to overexert yourselves.
Just focus on one little thing that makes you smile.
The fog will lift.
Thank you for being a part of community.
Have a great day.
