Simple meditation designed for people who overthink and have problems with letting go of things. This meditation will help you relax and de-stress from all the unwanted thoughts, once done you will be guided toward breaking the shackles and cleansing your mind. This 10 minute guided meditation can be practiced everyday and easily fits into busy schedules.

As you are sitting there,

Please close your eyes and do not open your eyes until asked to do so.

Bring about relaxation throughout your body by bringing your attention to each and every part of your body one by one.

To begin with,

Bring your attention to your toes,

To your feet and to your heels.

Feel them totally and allow them to relax.

Now bring your attention to your ankles,

To your calf muscles,

To the back of your knees and to your knees.

Feel them totally and allow them to relax.

Also bring your attention to your thighs.

Feel them totally and allow them to relax.

Similarly,

Bring your attention to your hips.

Feel them totally and allow them to relax.

Now bring your attention to your lower back.

Feel it totally and allow it to relax.

Similarly,

Bring your attention to your mid-back and your upper back and chest.

Feel them totally and allow them to relax.

Now bring your attention to your shoulders,

To your arms,

To your elbows,

To your wrists and your palms and your fingers and fingertips.

Feel them totally and allow them to relax.

Now bring your attention to the back of your neck and your neck.

Feel them totally and allow them to relax.

Similarly,

Bring your attention to the back of your head and to the center of your head.

Feel your head totally and allow it to relax.

Now bring your attention to your forehead and specifically to the area between your eyebrows and start visualizing.

See that all the thoughts in your brain are coming back to you slowly from wherever they are.

Each thought process is coming back to you like a rope and at the end of these ropes are small bags of different colors.

Internalize all your thoughts from wherever they are.

They might be in this room,

In your house,

Outside your house,

Thinking about somebody or some part of the world.

Bring all your thoughts back and as you bring all your thoughts back,

They're coming back with a bag at the end of various colors.

Some are blues,

Some are orange,

Some are yellow,

Some are black,

Some are brown and some are greens.

As you internalize all your thoughts,

These thoughts are settling down into your brain and the bags are settling down into your body.

Now look at your body from the outside.

You will see that it is made up of so many colors from all the colors which came back to you through your thought process.

Notice how your thinking defines you and what it does to you and your body.

Now when you look closely at your body,

You will see that the lighter colors signify happier emotions like happiness,

Joy.

The darker colors are more associated with heavier emotions like anger,

Fear,

Sadness,

Hatred,

Resentment.

All these emotions are sitting in your body and some are playing havoc and some are giving you happiness.

It is time to let go of all the unwanted emotions.

Now slowly start scanning yourself from the top of your head downwards and as you are doing so,

Let go of all the heavier emotions.

Let go of all the heavier colors which are denoted by black screens and browns.

Leave out the pastel shades.

Now as you are scanning from the top of your head,

Let go and keep moving downwards into your neck,

Your chest,

Your back,

Your stomach,

Your hips,

Your thighs,

Your knees,

Your legs and your feet.

Once you have cleansed yourself totally,

You will see that the heavier emotions are gone and the thoughts leading to it have been disconnected.

Now look at yourself again.

You will see your body is made up of more vibrant colors of whites,

Yellows,

Pinks and pastel shades leaving you very joyful and happy in life.

Stay there.

Enjoy this euphoria.

Enjoy this happiness for a few more moments.

Now I am going to count from 3 to 1.

When I say 1,

You will be in your day to day awakened state feeling light,

Refreshed and energized.

Slowly stretch your hands and stretch your legs.

Rub your palms together until a little bit of warmth is generated between them.

Once it is done,

Put your palms over your eyes.

Now slowly remove your palms and open your eyes.

I am sure you are feeling light,

Energized and refreshed.

Now you can go about your day doing whatever you want to in a very happy and joyful way.
