Hi,
Friends.
Let's step away from the busyness of our noisy day and dive beneath the surface.
I want you to bring your awareness to how you're feeling in this moment and see if you can get just a little bit more comfortable.
Try to be fully supported and just settle in,
Feeling the weight of the body being held.
Just allow that surface that's underneath you to be a reminder that you are supported in this moment.
Just notice if there's any part of your body that's holding some tension that you could allow the breath to loosen.
We're going to take a slow,
Deep breath in,
Feeling that oxygen reach that part of the body,
And a full,
Long exhale out,
Letting go of everything that came before this moment.
Another slow,
Deep breath in,
That oxygen nourishing and reviving,
And full,
Long breath out,
Letting go of everything that will come after this moment.
One more deeper than normal breath in,
And maybe sipping in a little bit more air at the top,
And then sighing,
Just letting go of every last bit of breath.
Now imagine yourself floating on the surface of a vast,
Beautiful ocean.
Feel the gentle rocking of the waves beneath you.
Maybe the sun is out and warm on your skin,
And a soft breeze caresses your face.
Notice how the water supports you completely.
There's no effort needed to stay afloat.
You are naturally buoyant,
Naturally held.
With each breath,
Become aware of how the ocean rises and falls with you.
Your breath and the ocean's rhythm becoming one.
Now,
With your next inhale,
Imagine breathing in pure,
Clear energy.
And as you exhale,
Feel yourself sinking just slightly beneath the surface of the water.
Inhaling,
Gathering energy,
And exhaling,
Descending a little deeper.
The water around you is crystal clear and comfortably warm.
Light filters down from above,
Creating dancing patterns all around you.
With each breath,
You continue your gentle descent,
Inhaling,
Gathering strength.
And as you exhale,
Releasing any tension and sinking deeper.
Notice how the water grows more still as you descend.
The surface movements and the noise above begin to fade.
As you continue breathing,
You're moving into a space of increasing calm.
Here,
Several feet below the surface,
The waters are more stable,
Less affected by what happens above.
Inhale,
Filling with clarity,
And exhale,
Descending into tranquility.
With each breath,
You're diving deeper into your own awareness.
The light changes,
Becoming a soft,
Diffused blue all around you.
Now,
As you continue your descent,
Imagine approaching the ocean floor.
This isn't a place of darkness,
But rather a realm of profound stillness,
Calm,
And ancient wisdom.
Inhale,
Drawing in peace,
And exhale,
Settling on to the ocean floor.
Here,
In this quiet depth,
Time seems to slow down.
The hurried pace of surface life no longer exists.
Inhale,
Drawing in peace,
And exhale,
Feeling even more calm.
Just rest here in this space of peace and deep calm.
Now,
Knowing you can return to this deep,
Quiet place whenever you wish,
Prepare to gradually ascend.
With each inhale,
You rise slightly,
Carrying the calm of the deep with you.
And with each exhale,
You remain connected to the depth and the calm that you experienced.
Rising through the gentle currents,
And finally returning to the surface where you float once again.
But now,
As you float on the ocean's surface,
You carry within you the stillness of its depths.
The waves may rise and fall,
But deep within,
You remain connected to that place of calm,
Of knowing.
Invite in a deeper breath,
And maybe exhale out with a sigh.
And begin to bring awareness back to the physical body being supported by the ground underneath you.
Notice the quality of how you feel in this moment,
And ask yourself,
How can I take this with me into the rest of my day?
Thank you for joining me.
